With my Starbucks drink being almost $8 now I decided to buy a fancy espresso machine and start making it myself. I started with of course buying Starbucks beans from HEB. Terrible. Then I tried some other brands which were a bit better. But someone told me I should look for local roasted beans. This is when I found Vertere.Omg this coffee is so good. It’s very consistent as well. The gentleman told me an espresso with the beans I got should take about 24-28 seconds and sure enough it is usually right at 26 seconds. Vertere will be my go to coffee from here on out!

Can’t go wrong here! Met Steve the owner today and was he extremely generous with his time. I learned a great about deal about coffee roasting and the traits that make a good espresso. If you have the opportunity, pick up a bag of the Espresso 1836 beans for an excellent 100% arabica, medium roast espresso. I’ll definitely be back!
