just spent 2 nights at this "resort"... please pay attention to all the reviews before booking. I did read the reviews and it showed the villas have been updated so I took a chance and booked a room in the villa... my bad. the room is in sad shape (Stayed in building 1), there is a leak in the bathroom, the paint is chipping off, the mattress is very uncomfortable, oh, I'm guessing the cleaning people let a disgusting sponge in the sink, the security light from building 2 shines right into your room all night long.. yep, no black out curtains just blinds. The entire property is just run down. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends or family.

My Mom and I stayed in one of their villas. THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD! We noticed very large mature BED BUGS in both of our beds. The most disgusting place we've ever stayed. Smells HORRIBLE and musky. They moved us to another room around 2am, but wouldn't give us a room in the actual hotel building on the property. We get to our new room and the shower had almost zero water pressure and the bottom of the tub was dirty We couldn't even shower after that horrible experience. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked, so had to wear shoes to protect our feet. Basically, would absolutely NEVER stay there again, and would highly recommend you don't even consider it. I will say, the staff was friendly. A staff member helped us out to our car with all of our belongings and suitcases in large trash bags.

Steak was under cooked and cold. Other Food quality was Mediocre. Wait staff was excellent! Drinks were excellent! Felt safe. Atmosphere was okay. Biggest improvement needed is food quality. Your at a resort. You have a higher standard that should ve meet. All in all I enjoy visiting. Sometimes great other times not. This was a big event. Small dinning much better. Honest review. Respectfully John

The staff was very nice and let me check in early so I could catch my boat ride on beautiful Lake Texoma, I was grateful. My room was clean and well kept. I enjoyed the restaurant on site; having breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a robotic cat that delivered the food that made it a fun experience. Abby was my server and she was friendly. Perfect view of the lake from the observatory tower. I would stay here again.

Staff and management were accommodating, we had reservations for the end of the month and needed to use it because of the water/electricity issues at the house. We had a villa on the Third floor. First time in time staying here. It's old! No curtains on the window only blinds and there are several lights in the parking area that shined in all night!! I felt it was daylight all night long. The carpet OMG buckled up everywhere, not sure if that was from back when they open 1960-70's The door alarm beeped all night! Ugh Any way I know they're working on updating the rooms I hope these villa's are on the list! No food - closed earlier due to the cold weather.

Tanglewood Resort really surprised me but also left much to be desired. This is an older place and they have made some technology upgrades but should definitely focus on maybe upgrading the bathrooms and bedding and some of the furniture in the hotel rooms. Our shower head was brutal. The office chair that was at our desk was broken on one side. No one fell out of the chair but its only a matter of time. There is a great pool and bar area and restaurant. The staff was very helpful and professional. We attended a conference here and at our meals they were on it. Made sure we had drinks and the food was fresh. Overall a good experience.

Nice place to watch the sunset over the lake. We had no waitress so had to get our own drinks which is fine, just unexpected. No food at the bar but could get it downstairs. Wasn’t that great…less than average.

I really loved my stay at this hotel, but I was very upset about the service me and my wife got at the bar and grill. They had a group finishing a conference. They took all the bartenders attention and we didnt get any service and eventually just walked out. Not enough staff we deserve to be seen just like the other

So much potential here. Location is the best ever, facilities are first class, but just dated. Great people working here but there seems to be no leader ship or master plan. Not sure what's going on. Sit for two hours and can't even get food in the restaurant what's going on here? This place needs an influx of investment, build it, and they will come..step it up and it will be an amazing place.Make Tanglewood Great Again!!!!

Properly made drinks. The food is good. I have had several of the appetizers. The people are attentive. You can eat inside or outside with a view of the pool. I've been here several times and enjoy the atmosphere. You can watch various sports on their big TVs placed up on the wall, around the bar. They sometimes have sports watch parties. There is a fireplace that is lit in the winter. I like going and just hanging out to chill. They have happy hour for food and drinks daily.
