Decided to try this place out while here doing a fishing trip (glad i did) Sandwiches were great and the lady who runs the place was very friendly and made good conversation. Will definitely come back!

On our way through Pottsboro to Lake Texoma and other sites, we were looking for a little local fare and we're always down for good homestyle cooking. Good homestyle cooking doesn't begin to describe the absolutely fabulous experience we had at Sammie's! From the exterior which looked like a western movie set to the clean, bright interior, we were pleasantly surprised. Then came the food and oh my goodness the food! Delicious, perfectly flavored, and filling! Stuffed jalapenos and cherry cobbler are a must!I would easily give her restaurant ten stars for food alone. But my family and I were welcomed like long-time friends. Sammie and her husband talked about their restaurant, their town, and their experiences with an openness that is missing in this landscape of cell phones and too-busy-living. The atmosphere, Sammie herself, and the food all lent a peaceful, calming respite for us and we walked away filled with a good meal and happily replenished for the rest of our trip.Thanks!

A nice little sandwich shop close to the lake. The food was really good. The potato salad was great! The portions were a bit small for the price, but for a small local place it's worth the little extra. Definitely going back to try some other sandwiches and dishes.
