I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any restaurant, I found a bug fried partially into the fried okra batter, god only knows how many other bugs where within the food I had eaten, I've been literally sick over this and the fact I had to waste food and the cost of everything?? Ridiculous, stay away unless you like bugs in your food

Ordered here a few times before. Placing a online order for pickup was very simple. Never really been a fan of their brisket but ribs and sausage very good. Hubby ordered the pulled pork and loved it. The Texas style spicy cream corn is our favorite side. A little sad that we ordered the Three Meat Plate but there was no toast (maybe it doesn't come with it) and ordered the All the Way potato but there was only cheese on the potato, the other goodies were missing.

The staff is always friendly. The frontier fries are so delicious and my go to every time. Amazing staff that always listens to you and recommends different things if you are not sure what you want. Service is amazing and the atmosphere is always lively.

We stopped here on our way back from a trip to Garland. First, let me say, as a lifelong Texan, I must admit, I may be the only person in the state that absolutely HATES BBQ. But, this? This food is, well, there are no words to describe just how delicious this food actually is. I have eaten every kind of BBQ there is in Texas, from homemade to all the small time to big name restaurants. I have traveled to many states and tried their BBQ. Now, I realize that I don't hate BBQ. I just never had GREAT BBQ.
My husband had the 3 meat plate with sides and I had a 2 meat bowl with hand cut fries, beans, bacon, cheese, and jalapeño ranch BBQ sauce. We also took a 3 meat plate with sides to go for our son. Healthy? Absolutely not. But, oh my goodness, what a treat! And it didn't cost nearly as much as most BBQ places.
I know that this is a really long review. Normally I don't write this much about any place that I visit. But, between the food, the friendly staff, and the prices, we will DEFINITELY be back and, trust me, you are only doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop at one of their locations when you see one (even if you think you hate BBQ, LOL).

This is about as it good as it gets when we’re craving bbq. I always by 2 chicken 1/2’s and a pound of lean sliced brisket. Order an another container of sauce because you don’t want to run out. Any time we see a Soulmans, we stop and either eat or get some to go. The sides aren’t great but I can fix those at home.

I went on oct 29 2025 I ask a lot of questions about the food ,and the young man behind the counter was amazing he was very respectful had a lot patience and answered all my questions joyfully. And as always the meat was mouthwatering ,heavenly, delicious.
