If anybody who is traveling and they happen to go through Refugio Texas stop at Henry's Mexican Restaurant! Get Henry's Special Combo, you will be disappointed with the meal or price! Great service clean establishment and awesome food!

I've been eating here for 35year way before it was at this location. Now that theres a new building and bar makes it a lot nicer foods good and the staff has always been friendly.

Passing thru Refugio? Don't stop! This is absolutely, positively, the WORST Mexican food restaurant that I have ever had the misfortune to happen across, without a doubt.... We wanted an avocado appetizer, but there wasn't one listed on the menu. When we inquired about it, the young man assured us that it wasn't a problem.... When he brought it out to us, it was in a clear, little plastic container with a lid on it. Straight from the fridge! There are no chicken enchiladas on the menu either. That is a special order. And the beef enchiladas did not have a good flavor. And they do NOT come with rice and beans.... WTH? Nothing fresh about any of their food. The staff was friendly and seemed attentive. And the restaurant seemed cleaned.... But it was quickly obvious to me that here was a mexican restaurant that time (and other mexican restaurants) had simply forgotten.... And, now, so have I....

Very disappointed. Too much spices in food. Taco shells too crispy almost burned. Meat overcooked and no flavor. Beans and rice horrible. How can anyone mess up on tacos. Over rated and pricy for their food. I don't want to give them a star but the waitress was very nice and friendly, check your bill carefully waitress don't carry calculator. Also, need a better cook. Seriously. No joke.

Well the food was okay and be careful how you order because your $20.00 meal can turn into 35.00 because they fail to advise you of substituting cost and beans and rice are extra ON A MEXICAN DINNER PLATE !!! We've eaten all over the state and thats a new one to us plus they never asked if we wanted a drink refill and the girl at the counter was just rude!! We will eat at a convenience store instead of there if passing through Refugio again. Do yourself a favor and drive a mile further to a different place if your wanting satisfaction
