This is truly the real deal. I've never had such a wonderful dining experience. The owner is beyond kind with his time and suggestions. If you want a very unique dining experience with some of the best food around i would go there immediately!. We have loved the kabobs. The oxetail. The plantains. And jerk chicken. The african rice is awesome.

The sambusa was delicious, but the eugusi was a little bit too salty. The fufu was decent, and the server was friendly and caring. However for some reason, I was charged extra for fufu that was not stated on the menu for egusi since I thought it was included for no extra charge, which was deceiving.

I am literally in the parking lot now. I said in the restaurant for about twenty minutes. And no one approached me to take my order.

So many words of disappointment. First off we travel and eat everywhere and have tried so many places over the years . We are very polite and pay for our meals and don’t mine paying extra for good unique tasting foods . Now my husband has had plenty African food in the past having a working that is from Africa , but it was me and my daughters first time trying this type of food…… That said , here is my review . The staff here are very nice but extremely slow at getting their guests settle in. There was only 4 other table there with people so they weren’t that busy either. Our drinks Took about 15 mins to get there just bottled drinks nothing special to take that long. By the time we finally got to order it done been there 20mins past. We told the guy we ready to order way before any other guest came in after us still didn’t take our order. After finally ordering Took 30 mins to get our appetizers and 1 hour to get our dinner . Really no excuse for our food to take that long and the people that came after us got there food 10mins before us. Slow service time was my first issue. Next was the food quality the Sambusas (Beef Pastry) $10.99 were very good . The mozzarella sticks $3.99nothing out of the ordinary. I got the kids stew for $6.99 it’s not terrible but really taste like canned stew very tough meat with dry white rice. Not nasty but Definitely nothing special. And I got some fried potatoes $3.99 pretty basic potatoes just some salt and ketchup basic..The Tam-Tam Chicken $15.99 once again basic white rice with and canned mixed grilled vegetables and 2 small pieces of grilled dark meat . No taste of special spices taste pretty basic . The Egusi with Fufu $20 did have a very unique taste but very fishy oil taste . I cant really judge this one because it was something different. But just wasn’t a fan of the taste. 3rd issue is the price $83 was the total price definitely not worth it… I love trying new places and helping with small businesses with good reviews but this didn’t earn it . I’ll be honest my cooking at home tastes way more flavorful and at these 2 of the dinners I could make in under 20mins and Under $20 for both meals drinks and one appetizer . I don’t know who these people fooling but these prices are crazy , like I said we give small restaurants chances and understanding . But they really should have told ours how long it would take because we would have definitely would’ve not of stayed. And to me we should’ve of been served first before the people that came in after us we where ready to order soon as we got there so that was very disappointing staff catering and take the other peoples order first and them asking a million questions about the food when we new what we wanted and clearly told the man were where ready to order way before they got there. Definitely pushed our buttons to the max . As a fellow business owner take these words as a lesson to improve what yall are lacking as a business . They definitely need to try other African restaurants and research their unique spices and flavors to make this business thrive more in the future .

I came here because of the great reviews. The goat kebobs were absolutely delicious. I was charged for dinner and was to substitute the fries with matoke. I was charged an extra 3 dollars for this. They were out of the kachumbari as well. The sambusa tasted good but was cold in the middle. The goat was outstanding but for the price of everything was definitely way too expensive. I still tipped 5 dollars as I'm in the food industry for a long time and like to support local businesses but for the price I paid for everything, around 36 dollars, it's way too expensive unfortunately.

I was super excited to have found a place where I can have egusi and fufu but I was sooo sad when I saw the egusi it was discolored and was nothing like others I had. It was tasteless! I enjoyed the fufu tho. It’s definitely way over priced for the quality of the food.

Everything is scratch made. Absolutely fantastic food. We went for happy hour. Half price wings, the hot sauce is HOT . We had it on the side and added it to our goat dish, as my friend likes it super hot and I can't cope with as much heat. We substituted the rice for fufu which neither of us had had before, but highly recommend.

Alex, our server was absolutely lovely, and we chatted about the food, the culture, cooking techniques etc. He makes a $5 cocktail for happy hour which was lovely.

My daughter and I went for dinner tonight as we love to experience foods from other countries and we had the egusi with fufu and oh my goodness… delicious! The staff was very friendly as well. Thankfully this is not far from where I live so I will be returning but good to know they use Door Dash if I need delivery.

Daughter saw Tik-Toc video of egusi and fufu and wanted to try it. Found this place online and gave it a try. Not disappointed at all. First time eating African and will be back. Happy hour 5-7pm daily. Everything explodes with flavor!

I felt like my food was warmed up and poured into the togo bowls. It tasted nice and the jollof rice was quite interesting. I paid about $6 for a bowl of jollof rice and $16 for pilau. Which ended up having about 7 little pieces of meat in it.
Will attach pics and videos
The atmosphere felt good. The service was polite, although I had to wait about 15 minutes even though when I ordered over the phone and I was told 15 minutes, I left home 12 minutes after ordering with a 5 minute drive.
The portion was not generous enough, in my opinion.
I will try them again because the owner advised I order the meat called some local name (Rwandese) cant remember now.
Since my main aim was the food I will give a 3 star for now.
