First of all server was amazing from the moment we walked in till we left! Food was great. Fast and everything came out hot n fresh! Definitely recommend this
I have been to all the restaurants in Sweetwater and every Mexican food restaurant more than once but I have only been to Lupitas for the last 3 months and don’t see myself going back to the others anytime soon. They have the best Mexican food in town and with that the best prices. My favorite dish use to be the chile rey but here lately I have been getting the ranchero enchiladas and that is 3 different types of enchiladas all with different sauces. The beans and rice at the other places are really dull compared to lupitas and I spend at least 5 dollars more at the other places for lower quality, less tasty and actually less food, when ordering the same thing I mean. I Just wanted to take some time out to thank lupitas because I think they do a great job there and have great prices compared to other places and lupita herself is a very sweet lady. They also have the best tasting salsa and freshest chips without a doubt.

Called an order in on our way to Tech game. Had never been there but was very pleased! Service was great and very friendly . Hamburger and fresh cut fries was great!! My husband got a chorizo/egg burrito…salsa was HOT but so good….. we even got a couple dozen of fresh homemade tamales!!! Highly recommend! We will be going back?

My family tried to eat here last night after a playoff football game. The service was slow, as they only had one waitress. We tried to be patient and felt empathy for her. Our queso came and it had black stuff floating around in the cheese and tasted burnt. We brought this to the waitresses attention and she explained the bowls are peeling and that is what is black. First, why would you tell us that...and second why would you serve it. After this, our food arrives and they put this same queso on my husband's chimichangas. Why would you not ask if you would like another sauce. There were four of us and not one of us could eat our meal. The taste was off on all of it. The meat in my beef enchilada had a gamey foul taste, the sauce tasted strange.... Verde, Chile, and sour cream, the rice and beans also tasted off. The best part of the experience was the chips. Sadly to say, we will never return.

I don't like to leave bad reviews for small places but this place was really just bad. Food took an hour and was mediocre at best.. Restroom was super dirty.

My son recommended the Junior Chavez Cheeseburger. Loaded with avocado, crispy bacon, and a grilled fresh jalapeno on the side. The french fries potatoes are delicious! I definitely recommend Lupitas.
We love eating here. Very family oriented, relaxed atmosphere, homemade taste, salsa has a perfect bite, and personable. Absolutely love how all of their family participates in this restaurant.

We dropped into Lupita’s restaurant traveling from Austin to Lubbock Texas. It was a wonderful surprise! The green chili, chicken enchiladas, and red chili meat enchiladas were awesome! Lupita served us with a wonderful smile and great conversation! Definitely recommend this place!
