I went to eat lunch. I had the beef nachos. They were seasoned well and the garnished was great. My server always checked on me. My server was kind and generous. She kept my drink full. She offered dessert. Which I had the sopaphilla. It was warm and delicious. I visited the location in Rockwall Texas.

I’ve had literally the hardest 2 weeks ever and really needed my mom. She passed 5 years ago.. so me and my kiddos were hungry and decided let’s go to el Chico for dinner! Just to be close to her.. this was her favorite restaurant. We get there and go inside and it smells like my childhood! All I wanted was the kids Mexican pizza. I was informed that they had changed it and it wasn’t the same… of course I was bummed. But the waitress went and asked the staff how it was cooked and told them I would like the old school pizza..they said I got you and made it for me!!! I am beyond excited and beyond appreciative that they would do that for me. A stranger!! And the food is amazing!!!!

This has been my favorite restaurant since childhood. I have been saddened to see the restaurants close down through the years and the only one left that is near me is Rockwall, however it is always a treat to go there. The last few times we've had a waiter named Ash and he is PHENOMENAL.

I didn’t realize that El Chico was still around after closing their McKinney and Sherman location. I ventured into Rockwall and was thrilled to find out it was still around. Delicious food! I always used to get the “Tres Banitos” so naturally I ordered this. All of the nostalgic feelings came back and it was just as tasty as I could remember. Generous proportions, and the server I had was very nice and attentive.
