So, the food is bad. Like, really not good. My wife (who was a chef) compared it to being in college eating at the “student chef” restaurant for free for their experience. The shaved ribeye sandwich was extremely dry, no added sauce such as Au jus or bone broth which helps level out the dryness that (any and all) shaved beef sandwich’s give. They didn’t even bother seasoning the steak. My wife’s Salmon with lemon glaze was under cooked, yet mushy nor had any flavor of lemon, the garlic mashed potatoes lacked garlic (I’ve had better box mashed potatoes) and the Brussel sprouts were so fried (burnt) they lost any and all natural moisture and flavor. This place is just expensive and “creative” for the sake of it. The most flavorful thing on the table was the jalapeño ranch on the salad. Also….. what bone head decided to put flake salt into the table salt shaker? Fire your chef, try again.

I just want to give a shout out to Giovanni Italian Restaurant at the Harbor. I made a reservation for Homecoming in their private room. The service was above and beyond from the moment I called until the very end, A+!!!

Brandon, our main waiter was EXCEPTIONAL handling our 12 teens and a table of 8 in the main restaurant (parents table). He learned everyone’s names and treated all of us with professinalism and relatable humor, he really made all of us feel special. Food and drinks were delicious.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for my birthday. First time in - the service was phenomenal. Garrett our server was so pleasant and incredibly knowledgeable. Every question he answered thoughtfully. He helped map out the perfect experience from apps to dessert. Obviously compliments to the chef as well. The food was amazing!! Also the manager came to check in on us. We will absolutely be back . Thank you for making my birthday special.

Had my sons wedding rehearsal dinner here. Agron, the owner, personally took care of our party of 40 along with two waitstaff. All did an amazing job! They treated our entire group like royalty. This place is a must go to place! Food was tasty, hot and filling. I recommend the lobster ravioli.

Beautiful restaurant, large windows for sunlight, and scenery is so cute , aside from hosts , service from manager and waiter were awesome. This was our first time, of course, wanted everything on the menu. Let me tell you my overall favorite Italian is Terrelis in Dallas, but this place easily takes my second favorite hands down. I loved it !!!! Enjoyed my escargot for an appetizer!! Then my lobster raviolis and my Giovannis drink and expresso martini shoot even the water didn't taste like tap water everything was delicious unfortunately my tummy had no space for desserts but they sounded really good ? BUT will definitely be back as soon as we left I recommended ?

Shocked at how terrible the service was. We were seated and given menus and water quickly, and told a server would be with us soon. We waited almost 10 minutes, and absolutely no one acknowledged us (there were plenty of servers not doing much, and it was not busy). We ended up flagging down a server and only then did we get attention.
After that we had good service, and the food was great, so we had mostly forgotten about the rough start. But when we received our card back and the reciept we saw that we had been charged more than 3 times what our meal cost us! Of course our waiter disappeared, but someone else noticed how upset we looked and took the bill away. Our server then returned, gave a quick apology, and wandered off again. The manager had helped him void the charge but he never bothered to come and apologize to us. And we were still charged for the original cost of the meal!
We confronted the manager as we were leaving because we wanted to be assured that the huge charge would be voided, and were again met with a quick, insincere apology. This was a huge mistake and I would have been mortified had I been the server or the manager, but no one seemed to really care. Charging someone more than three times what they spent could easily cause some people to overdraft their accounts, but Giovanni's will just wave you off; it's not their problem I guess.
The worst part is that this is far from the first time we have come to this restaurant, and we like the food, but the manager clearly isn't interested in providing good service or keeping loyal customers around, so we won't be going back.

* In response to the reply I received from the owner, I just want to clarify that I was, in fact, charged three times the cost of my meal. Also the manager never came to our table to apologize or explain what happened, I had to go and find him. I was told the charge was voided, but until my bank resolves the issue, that is a large amount of money missing from my account. It was an honest mistake, sure, but seeing as this is the first time this has ever happened to me, it's not something that happens all the time like the owner is implying, and could have been prevented if the server had been at all paying attention. Clearly I was right in assuming that this place could care less about providing good service.
