I would like to point out the service was excellent. Our waiter Brandon was top notch & very attentive but not over bearing so we could really enjoy our meal and conversation. From the appetizers To the meal everything was excellent. Only thing is my husband wanted more. They ordered the surf & turf special. That's all so it speaks volumes. The food was delicious. We will be back, and give Brandon a raise.

Very nice atmosphere, quiet, beautiful decor and excellent service. The issue is the food. Excellent bread, very good salad and great cocktails but other than that food quality is not on par with the prices charged. High end steakhouse prices but the entrees sampled were average quality. A small 6 oz filet for $49, a NY strip for $85, shrimp pasta which was not eaten and 2 bites of a $22 Waygu burger. We were wishing we had tried the Italian place next door.

Do not hesitate to visit. Sear has taken the reigns as the best fine dining establishment in Rockwall County. It is on par with Capital Grill or other high-end steakhouses. Well worth the price and the experience. This place is thoughtfully done, with every detail considered. Perfect place for a date night when you want to celebrate something. This place has two sides, and we ate in the dining room. There is also a bar side with a piano and live music. Best steak dinner in RoCo; they raised the bar for RoCo!I can not express how amazing this dinner was from start to finish. The entire team was operating at next level. Near the end of our meal I started asking many questions about the location, the owner, the chef, the team, the training, etc. This place is a gem, and I recommend it for anyone wanting a special night out to feel pampered. Our server, Mo, took us around and gave us a tour since we stayed there after closing and finishing our meal. We discovered this place is the only Women-owned Restaurant in RoCo, Gail Fletcher. She was intentional with every detail. The decor is fantastic, and the little touches seem to never end. There is a private room called the "Red Room" that can be used for special events and has doors that do close for privacy.

Service and ambience both terrific but the food itself was not great for the price point. Bread and lobster bisque were both good. Shrimp cocktail was unimpressive. Scallops were small and jello-like. Ordered the 8 oz. fillet which was cooked right and good, but not for the price. Overall, unimpressed with the food for the money. Everything else was fine.

Everything was perfect. Just one question- we made RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER for four The PREVIOUS SUNDAY. just to arrive on time and FIND THE RESTAURANT CLOSED!!! Come to find out much later, Sear is NOT OPEN SUNDAYS FOR DINNER! Why the very inadequate site!!!? Please update ur site. We had business planned for Sunday. Embarrassing.

Food was delicious, beautiful venue. Our waiter took our orders, delivered bread, filled our water glasses. Another delivered our appetizers, main dish and sides. He asked if we wanted more bread, we said yes...15-20 minutes later got our bread. Never refilled our water. Never checked on us, until check delivered and then asked about water. This is a very high end steak house with total bill around $140 with no alcohol!

My husband and I ate here tonight for my birthday. The service was excellent, the food was very tasty. We both ordered the filet mignon, mashed potatoes and lobster risotto for the sides. My husband ordered his steak medium rare but unfortunately it was overcooked to medium well and the risotto was undercooked. However, I don’t feel it’s fair for me to leave a negative review because of these mistakes, the manager came to us and made it right (I’ve been to plenty of steakhouses and have had my fair share of overcooked food and most of the time feel like I did something wrong when asking for it the correct way.) This was not the case here, our server and the manager both made sure that it was corrected as quickly as possible and we were happy. Once he got his steak and our risotto back we very much enjoyed our meal. We have both worked in kitchens before so we know what it’s like when you make a mistake so I’ve gotta say, you give respect, you get respect. Exceptional service, delicious food and cozy ambiance! By the way, try the chimmichurri with your steak, it’s delicious!

Great food and service. The sea bass and scallops were awesome! Our server suggested an inexpensive chardonnay - Coppola Director's Cut - that paired perfectly. Definitely be back. Maybe just for dessert!

Our steaks were over cooked. Needless to say they were dry like rubber. The manager came to make it right. I appreciate that. However, you can’t get a steak wrong at a steak house and I return. It’s a hard no for me. The service was exceptional but it doesn’t make up for the food which is the point of visiting this entailment.

We were so excited to try this place out to celebrate a few things going on in our life, but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The ambiance was quite nice but we had several mistakes on what we ordered, the service was abysmal (we waited so long for everything) and the food was disappointing. I hardly ever make negative reviews but with the steep price tags that this establishment carries for their menu, we really expected a whole lot more. We are not a picky couple and generally never complain about dining experiences, but both of our meals were wrong (even when we told them politely that the meal was wrong, that didn’t really remedy the situation), the risotto was over cooked and because of the slow service, we were mostly sitting without drinks or water. We recently moved to the area and hoped this could be our new spot for celebrating nice moments but we will probably never be back after tonight’s dinner. I give some grace that it’s the Friday of Valentine’s Day but again, with how much the check is, we expect to at least have drinks flowing and the food to be how we ordered.
