This is the best bar in Rockwall!! The atmosphere is amazing!! They are located right on the lake so you can see the water and sunsets while you are having a great time with your friends. Also the staff is the main reason why I keep coming back! The whole staff is always working so hard, my favorite member of the team is Rheagan, every time I walk in I always get the friendliest greeting with a smile! She gave me the best cocktail suggestions and was very attentive to me and my table every time I come in it’s always 5 star service. Always checking on her tables and making sure everybody is good! I highly recommend going to see her because she will have you leaving with a great experience!!!

(I’m a couple weeks late writing this) I can say that this is one of the better locations. My friend and I walked in and were immediately greeted by staff and the bartender. Now, was that because it was slow on a Sunday prior to the game? Maybe.
We had a few drinks, and split an appetizer to pass time, but I will say though, Faith makes a pretty dang good old fashioned. Some folks heavy hand, while others don’t pour enough, but definitely no complaints with her. An aspiring writer, relaxed mood, good conversations too, Faith, I hope I get to see/read your work someday! Brass Tap will definitely lose a good one!

As both a customer and a performer in the local scene, I have to call this out: The Brass Tap is one of the most disappointing venues I’ve encountered.
Let’s start with the basics — they don’t pay their performers. There’s no appreciation for the time, effort, or draw that live entertainers bring in. No follow-through, no respect, and no real accountability. It’s tough enough being a working performer without having to chase down what’s owed, or worse, be completely disregarded.
Beyond that, the atmosphere is a full-on popularity contest. If you’re not in the favored crowd, you’ll feel it. There’s a clear culture of picking and choosing who gets attention, support, or even basic courtesy. It creates a space where both talented artists and regular customers feel undervalued — unless they’re part of the inner circle.
Bars like this thrive when they build real community and show love to the people who show up. Unfortunately, The Brass Tap has made it clear they’re not about that life. If you’re thinking of supporting this spot — as a customer or a performer — just know what you’re walking into.

Great location and food was good. Probably was you can feel the wear and tear on the place. Tables and chairs were also really dirty and no one really seemed to care. Hard to enjoy the patio on such a beautiful day when everything is covered in bird crap.
