Jessica provided amazing service! She was attentive, friendly, and made our experience truly enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back! And the food here was just delicious. Also please try the expresso martini flight!

Our very awkward conversation with the hostess was our first impression of this place.
- “how can I help you?”
+ “umm… (I was so confused, no one has asked me this when entering a restaurant) we would like to get some lunch..?”
- ok…
*awkward silence*
- “we have barstools”
+ “ok?”
- “we have a dining area in the back”
(There’s a few tables right when you enter but they were all empty)
+ “did we enter through the wrong door?”
- “no, this is the main door”
+ “ok… can we get a table?”
Anyways we were finally seated, it wasn’t just me, me husband agreed that it was weird lol.
The food was ok, I got the gyro and it was a huge portion but slightly salty.
My husband got the Cuban sandwich, it didn’t have a lot of filling.
We weren’t offered dessert.

We always feel welcomed and well taken care of here. We joined the wine club and loved getting to join a private tasting. The food is always amazing and the wine is too notch. Highly recommend!

Weather was great and we ate on the patio. Service is always great, as well as the food.

Food is pretty good. Good location at the San Jacinto plaza where there are tables to sit and listen to occasional live music.

Loved the outside seating and the day was perfect for it. Great service. The charcuterie board was nice and robust for the price.

Our local non-profit organization, Children's Relief International, celebrated their 25th anniversary in April. We asked The Downing to cater the event and they did an amazing job. They provided outstanding service, from the first meeting to discuss the menu, to final clean-up. The menu was exquisite and the food was absolutely delicious. Jenni and David were a pleasure to work with. Thank you both! We highly recommend The Downing!

One of my favorite neighborhood gems! We visit often and have never been disappointed. Wine flights and a cheese board on the patio on a beautiful evening... need I say more?!
