The Oar House in Rockwall was an amazing Valentine’s dinner experience. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely top-notch. The seabass was cooked perfectly — flavorful, tender, and one of the best I’ve had. My wife ordered the steak, and it was incredibly tender and cooked exactly right. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The service was flawless from start to finish. The manager, Will, did an outstanding job ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we had a great experience. His attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. This was a memorable evening, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend The Oar House to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Rockwall.

The food was amazing and was spaced out perfectly. My only complaint was the small tables but I understand they were trying to make room for more guest.

I didn't like the lamb, but the bar had a good selection.

Consistently reliable lakeside Italian restaurant. As always great food, wonderful atmosphere and easy conversation...one of the few remaining in Rockwall where you can actually carry on a conversation without shouting or wait staff rushing you through a meal. You folks do a fantastic job!

My boyfriend and I went here for valentines last year and got their valentines menu for $100 per person, DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The service was great and they were very helpful at giving recommendations. We got crab cakes, ratatouille(my boyfriend LOVED), clam chowder, and a NY strip. They gave us a vanilla cake a prosecco with justice for dessert and it was fantastic. Would definitely come back for this experience.

Put in the private small room and very loud in the area. There for our 40th anniversary and food was good but service and environment just ok (average). We have had better experience in past in table location and service.

We truly enjoy The Oar House. It has a very "old timey" feel in the best way. The dining room is dimly lit and feels warm. The food is great. On this visit we had the halibut and chicken parmesan. All entrees come with soup or salad. I had the house salad and my husband upgraded his soup to the lobster bisque. The salad was fresh and the lobster bisque was creamy and lovely with a touch of (maybe) sherry. The halibut was seared and served with crab meat, asparagus, veggies and a lovely cream sauce. I subbed sweet potatoes as one of my sides and they were very good. The chicken parmesan was everything you would expect - Such a comfort food meal! We shared the coconut crème brûlée for dessert which was perfect! I must give a special shout out to Shaun who took great care of us. Thank you Shaun! I will close by saying this restaurant is a great value. This is our 3rd or 4th visit and we'll be back! Sorry, forgot to take pics this time!

The food and service were excellent. We were there early so the restaurant was not that crowded so the noise was fine. I have been there when it is crowded and the noise level was fine. You can carry on a conversation with the people you are dining with.

Service bad bad. Came here to celebrate my anniversary and they said they are reservations only. It was a regular Tuesday night. What in the world? ZERO STARS.
