501 Yacht Club – A Hidden Gem with Sunset Views Tucked away in a serene gated neighborhood, 501 Yacht Club offers not just a fantastic dining experience, but also breathtaking sunset views over Lake Ray Hubbard. Whether you’re arriving by car or opting for a dock & dine experience, this spot provides the perfect lakeside escape with a welcoming ambiance. The Highlights: We kicked off the evening with a deliciously smooth Espresso Martini—a must-try if you’re a fan of bold, rich flavors. For our appetizer, we went with the Deviled Eggs, which were not only visually stunning but also packed a flavorful punch. The Corn Chowder was creamy and comforting, with just the right balance of sweet corn and savory spices—definitely a great way to warm up for the main event. For entrees, we chose two excellent dishes: 1. ½ Roasted Chicken over Mashed Potatoes – This dish was pure comfort food at its finest. The chicken was perfectly roasted, juicy, and tender, while the creamy mashed potatoes were a delightful complement. 2. Trout – The trout was beautifully grilled, sitting atop a bed of roasted vegetables. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, making it a perfect choice for seafood lovers. To wrap up our meal, we enjoyed the Flourless Chocolate Cake. Rich, decadent, and served with fresh berries, it was a heavenly way to end the night. The Service: Service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing our overall experience. The Atmosphere: What truly sets 501 Yacht Club apart is its stunning lakeside location. Watching the sun set over Lake Ray Hubbard while dining made the experience all the more memorable. The combination of upscale food, laid-back ambiance, and gorgeous waterfront views makes this venue ideal for date nights, celebrations, or even a casual evening out. The Verdict: 501 Yacht Club offers more than just a meal—it’s an experience. With its dock & dine option, impeccable service, and scenic sunset views, it’s a must-visit for anyone in the area. If you’re looking for a spot where you can enjoy high-quality food with a lakeside vibe, this is the place to be.

Always relaxing and an amazing experience. You never feel rushed when you are at TYC! On top of that food is great and staff goes above and beyond. We went in before they opened for Sunday brunch and we weren't the first there either...

I've only tried the pulled pork sliders so far but their atmosphere is spectacular with views of the lake, boats and great Adirondack chairs facing the water. The inside lounge and bar area is very cozy and great for parties.

Full review and experience below, but the headline is that the service we received was terrible and we were overcharged for our event. We booked the Yacht Club in April of this year for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party. I toured the space before booking and the views of the lake are beautiful. We booked the upstairs patio for our event. From the very beginning, we were expecting around 35 guests. In the weeks leading up to our party, I called Jen Cushman at the Yacht Club, left messages, and sent e-mails that went unanswered. I expressed my concern that we were getting closer to our event date and we had not finalized the menu. Instead of returning these calls or responding to these e-mails, Jen Cushman sent an e-mail to a completely different e-mail address with an “updated” contract that listed the number of guests as 75. This is more than twice the number of guests that we were ever expecting. When I was finally able to get in touch with Jen I told her that we were never expecting 75 guests and requested that the contract be corrected accordingly. She confirmed that the alcohol would be updated for 35 guests but she refused to update the totals for food. This resulted in a massive overcharge for food. Altogether the Yacht Club charged us $7,472.13, which comes to over $213 per person. And we only served heavy hors d'oeuvres. I asked that $1,851.51 be refunded to my credit card to correct the error with the number of guests but so far Jen Cushman has not done so. I am evaluating our next steps with recovering this amount. This could have been avoided with adequate communication leading up to our event. I would not recommend booking an event with this venue given our experience.

Really enjoyed our lunch here! The brunch menu was varied and everything tasted great. The view is an added bonus! Service was great too! Jalapeño pineapple drink is really tasty. We will definitely be back! It was quiet on a beautiful Sunday. Definitely go and support them!

Parking: Tons of parking spots.

The food and staff were nice, but they failed to keep up with the catering for our in-house eventwe ran out of several things before we even had everyone fed, and we had to personally ask them to refill it because no one was monitoring it. The mixed drinks are also all made from mixes.

Service & views were great. Restaurant's beautiful. But the food left a bit to be desired. Bbq chicken flatbread was decent. I ordered tempura shrimp tacos, but they said they were out of tempura shrimp. Didn't really enjoy the loaded brisket tots. Basically late night bar food. And the only thing hot about the "hot" honey chicken sandwich was the temp. It actually contained no flavor. I think they might've drizzled on some honey. But I barely tasted any sweetness, let alone heat. The drinks were decent. Loved the lake water. Lastly I was a bit disappointed to be charged $5 for 5 pineapple chunks that equated to no more than 1 pineapple ring. Seemed a bit excessive.

Views, decor, food, drinks, and service were all good. However, there is a very unpleasant odor throughout the whole building. We asked and we're told it has been around for some time and there are no plans to repair. We will likely go back if and when it is fixed
