Has a 60s small town atmosphere, food fresh to order and service was incredible as they served my whole softball team short notice. Get the patty melt on a bun add bacon
Better restrooms
Stepping into Ol' Railroad Café in Rosenberg's Old Town Square felt like a delightful journey back in time. The vintage charm instantly made me feel welcome, and it’s clear why this spot is perfect for families and groups of any size. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting.
Our server, Greg, with his memorable handlebar mustache, provided absolutely fantastic service. He was attentive and efficient, ensuring our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.
The menu is packed with comforting classics, and everything we tried was delicious. The Hobo Burger was a standout, cooked perfectly, and my companions raved about the 819 Burger. The kids' menu also deserves a shout-out; our little ones happily devoured their mac and cheese and chicken tenders. I also sampled the lamb with brown gravy, which was incredibly flavorful and hearty.
Beyond the delicious food, what truly makes Ol' Railroad Café a gem is its genuine old-town square feel. It perfectly captures the essence of Rosenberg, making it an ideal destination for a casual family meal or a larger gathering. I left feeling completely satisfied and already planning my next visit to explore more of their tempting menu, like the Fish n Chips I heard so much about. Highly recommended for great food, friendly service, and a truly welcoming vibe!
I wasn't too impressed with the menu items. It was someone else's idea to go here. That said, i didn't get to even try it, because after a nearly two-hour wait, they still couldn't seat us, so we left. This eatery doesn't have a limit on when customers need to leave after they're done with their meals and allows them to linger and continue visiting, so tables don't open up often. If you go, be the first ones there or you may not get in, especially for brunch on Sundays. 🤷🏼♀️ The restaurant doesn't take reservations, so it's just the luck of the draw on when/whether you'll get in to eat when you plan to. Their gift shop is really nice, though, especially for out-of-state tourists, so you can spend your money shopping the gift shop instead of brunch 😉
Nice place for a decent meal but not for the prices they charge, they think they are fancier than they really are.
Very tasty lunch.
Decided to have lunch in Rosenberg today, and I was so happy that I stumbled on this place! I am very particular when I try a new restaurant and I was not disappointed at all. I had Friday’s special ~ Fish n Chips and a side salad. Fresh and delicious! My waitress was extremely polite and very efficient, attending to my every need. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other delicious sounding choices on the menu! Thank you for such a pleasant, satisfying experience!
Lots of thick bread on all their sandwich’s. I don’t like to fill up with thick buns. Food just average.
I’m giving one star because the lady waitress was really weird. She treats some folks really good but others she treats really bad. I don’t know why…..the gay guy was awesome. He made us happy because he was so happy ! *Food ok but kinda big city prices which surprised us.

I had the Texas Ruben, and it was very flavorful. Lots of meat. The chips are homemade, and we're nice and crisp
Would definitely eat here again as the service and atmosphere were as good as the food.

Housed inside an old building in downtown Richmond that’s been owned by the same family for over 100 years, Ol’ Railroad Cafe certainly has a ton of stories between these walls. Wonderful small town cafe with friendly staff, a unique menu and a historic setting. What else could anyone ask for when looking for an authentic diner? Would recommend. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Stopped here on the way to the football game. It was amazing! Now I'm going to have to drive an hour each each way to eat here again. It is definitely worth the drive!
