Just happened to find this BBQ gem while passing through Giddings. Immediately loved the atmosphere and service. You can tell it's a one of a kind family business. Funny decorations and warm kind people. The ribs were delicious. Loved the sweet taste with the smoke flavor. Brisket and sausage were tasty and my son devoured his brisket sammich. On the sides make sure you get yourself some outlaw corn. All serving portions were worth the price. Owner and servers were super attentive and just gave a good sense of welcoming. If we ever pass through again we will for sure be making a stop!

LOVED it! My husband and I ordered chopped beef sandwiches, a side of potato salad, which was out of this world, and mac and cheese. It was absolutely delicious! When we arrived I mentioned we hadn't been there before and we were given a run down of the menu. At check out, the cashier bundled our food/drinks to be the least costly option and then yum!!! I will definitely be returning! HUGE menu! Can't wait to try it all.

Went during Giddings fiesta and got the brisket tacos and half a rack of ribs. Food was good, will have to try the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Saw that one of the brisket was for a 2 yr old and offered to put all the fixings on the side.

Updated: The last 2 times I went was not good. The food was dried out (brisket loose cut, sausage, and ribs) and I was embarrassed that I even recommended this place to people in my family. Maybe they were have off days when we visited on two different weekends but it wasn't good at all. The price we paid vs what we got was horrible. I won't be back, it's disappointing. Save your money. I heard the meat market on the corner of 290 and 77 is way better and fresh despite their outdoor appearance.

Passing through Giddings? Don't pass Outlaw BBQ without stopping in, its absolutely delicious. We had "the sampler". It came with your choice of 4 meats, 2 sides, bread, pickles and onions: add 2 bottles of water and some banana pudding for $36 and enough food for 2 people, SCORE.The brisket was juicy and had a gorgeous smoke ring; the chicken was perfect with a nice crusted skin and plenty of moisture underneath; the sausage was delicious and your choices were regular or jalapeño with cheese; the ribs were a masterpiece and the meat pulled away from the bone without a fight; Now for sides - the potato salad was obviously made with sour cream and new potatoes...fresh fresh fresh; pinto beans like moms and banana pudding for the perfect ending.The restaurant itself is clean as a pen and the restrooms are impressively clean. There is outdoor seating perfect for a larger group and we will definitely be back with friends.Shane (the owner) made sure we were satisfied with our meal, service and surroundings. Outlaw BBQ in Giddings earned 5 Stars from this foodie.Kid-friendliness: Nice large outdoor area secure for letting the kids run.

Wanted a quick stop for protein and a break from driving Hwy 77. Stopped at Outlaws BBQ and ... OMG!! Seriously great BBQ. I had pork ribs, brisket, Cole slaw and Oreo cookie pudding. Wifey had a pulled pork sandwich. Pulled pork was very well seasoned but not too spicy. She loved that it was a simple sandwich with just meat, onions and pickles on a bun, no sauce. Just like she likes it.My pork ribs were perfect with a great crust. The meat fell off the bone - yet crunchy with the smoke crust. The brisket was full of flavor with great smoke rings all over. Loved the Cole slaw and the pudding.Fast service, small place and did not cost as much as Austin area BBQ and seriously good. These guys deserve all of the awards that cover the walls.I can still smell the smoke of the BBQ even after leaving an hour ago. Very pleasant.We both agree with other reviewers that ranked this place as one of the best BBQ joints they had ever been to. The meats and the sides are really that good!

If you want really good barbecue this is the place to be. Pulled pork was absolutely amazing. I wasn't a fan of the sausage but they don't lose any ratings for that it just wasn't my thing. But I know a lot of people love the sausage.The chicken was absolutely delicious as well. I'm really glad we drove an hour and a half to meet friends here. They were very hospitable and very nice they made sure we were taken care of. The cashier woman was an absolute delight very happy. You can tell that the people work here really take care of serving people and making sure that they have the best food. If you are expecting chandeliers and cloth napkins... This is not your place.You can definitely tell that this is a family-owned business that they really take pride in. I would definitely come back here again. And I definitely would recommend it to anybody passing through the town.
