We stopped at Royers Cafe while passing through Round Top and ended up having one of our favorite meals of the trip. The food was delicious, but what made it special was the people—the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. You don’t find places like this everywhere. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

The Google description is apt, this is a quirky little cafe in an old building in the center of town that serves pretty good food. So expect chairs and tables that are a little wobbly and decor that has been gathered over many years, including currency notes from many countries, newspaper clippings, tee shirts, wooden airplanes and much bric a brac. The food is good. My wife had the special of the day - a fish sandwich, and a dinner salad which she liked a lot, I was less hungry so I had a bruschetta plate which was also very nice. Service was friendly and efficient.

Famous little place with really delectable pies. The crust on these pies is amazing. We got a slice of blueberry lemon, an apple ala mode, a junk pie, and a slice of bread pudding. Delicious. The servers were the sweetest.

Service is way too slow. Otherwise, staff were nice, and food was decent.

Great food but don't waste your time making a reservation. They have that option but making a reservation along with $5 contribution will get you added to the end of the waiting list, just the same as if you never made a reservation. Pork tenderloin, chicken fingers and sides were all very good but Lunch turned out to be a 2 hour experience all total. Not really a great outing when you have impatient, hungry kids with you.

A must restaurant to have lunch or dinner when you are in Round Top, TX. The bread pudding is awesome, a cross between bread pudding and a cinnamon roll.
They have A LOT of Gluten Free options!!! As someone who is allergic to gluten, I greatly appreciate these options, and the best part is that they were all Scrumptious!!!! They even have #GF Pie y’all!!!! Thank y’all so much!!!!🥰🥰🥰

Had the chicken fried steak for lunch and it was outstanding. Green beens were spicy and delicious as well. My friend had a burger and he loved it. If your in a hurry for your food dont come here but its worth the wait!

We had about a 30 minute wait which was a fun build up to experience the unique, and fun environment. Its a tiny little place and its a busy Sunday afternoon so we expected the wait, no problem. As soon as the woman opened the front door to call our group name it was apparent she was not pleasant. Her tone, body language and face sent a clear message of unhappiness. This woman was our waitress 😬 her answers were very short, eye contact was nonexistent - it was a socially awkward hurried interaction at best. However the neighboring waitress and young man floating around filling drinks and busing tables were both very pleasant, helpful and bubbly. I would definitely go back, the burger was delicious and it came out quickly for how busy there were!! However, if seated in this woman's section again, I would probably ask to move or excuse myself.

Shrimp & Grits = OK, but expensive. Try lunch items (fish tacos, burger, etc.).
