First time to try the place, very good crispy chips and salsa. We ordered Mole de Pollo plate and combination taco and enchilada. Both were delicious. Reasonable price. Plenty of parking space.

TVs on every wall really makes the place look cheap.... And it is.Overpriced for the quality of the food. The salsa was good and the chicken fajitas were decent. The corn tortillas seemed homemade and were very good.Guacamole tastes like it came out of a bag. The queso was like a watered down version of what you get in a gas station. It tasted processed and gross.Rice and beans were bland. Overall it was like cafeteria Mexican food from the 80s.Service was good.

I tried this placev2 times now. They have the hardest chips I have ever tried to eat. They are really thick and to have good ships and salsa is what I look for. My better half did not like them either.

Total disappointment lasts a long timeTo give the food the pastor tacos, very greasy and tasteless, nothing to do with Mexican food.

Family-owned restaurant that my wife enjoy fairly often. They have a little an authentic Mexican twist crossed with a Tex-Mex style menu, making the food truly unique. Their drinks are good and they're always very attentive....And if you come in on the right evening you'll have live music too...

Amelia’s Mexican Restaurant puts the home in Homemade! The super soft and tasty tortillas are the best in DFW.The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make dining here a pleasure.Bryan was our waiter and he guided us through the menu to order exactly what matched our taste. The fajitas, chile Relleno, and deep fried chimichanga were prepared perfectly. The only negative was the chips and salsa.Specifically, the chips were hard as a rock. The salsa had a sweetness not typical of tex mex standards .Don’t get me wrong ,they were satisfactory, just not my style. The bar was good and happy hour all day Tuesday was a bonus this initial visit. This is a well run family business and you will notice it in every detail. The Rowlett community has a fine Tex Mex establishment to enjoy. If in the area make sure you stop by.It’s worth the trip.

We like to take-out. Making a phone order is easy. We always seem to get more than we ordered. Wonderful food. Always hot.

After living in the area for a number of years we finally visited Amelia's. Absolutely the best chicken tortilla soup I've ever had. We also had barbaco tacos and they were excellent as well!!! Margaritas...keep 'em coming. Our new spot from now on.

The chili relleno was over cooked, slimy and greasy egg batter. The beans were horrible. And the sour cream chicken enchiladas were salty and hard. The margaritas had good flavor but no alcohol taste. All in all I left my entire plate and will never go back. I still tipped since it was not her fault. This place is not recommended if your looking for good Mexican food.

ONLY thing good was the chips and salsa. My plate was NOT what they claim to sell. U don't put crackling out of a bag and add green salsa on top and call it a dish. The side of guacamole was not even a side of guacamole, it was a heavy bed of lettuce and a small scoup of guacamole. There queso is soupy and with no flavor, we dressed it at our table so that we could have flavor to it. The other 2 dishes ordered were left due to over salted and greasy egg batter on a relleno. Plz don't spend your time or hard earned money at this location unless you have a bad pallet for food. First and last time ever going there!!!!

My recent visit to Amelia's Restaurant was a delightful experience, especially with their tortilla chips on the menu. The tortilla chips at Amelia's were a perfect start to the meal, freshly made and perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of salt. Each chip was a delicious vehicle for scooping up their flavorful salsa and creamy guacamole. The casual and inviting ambiance of Amelia's, coupled with the friendly service, made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're looking for a tasty snack to start your meal, Amelia's tortilla chips are definitely worth trying.

Would be 5 stars if only it did not take 1 hour to receive orders each time I have gone, and the chips and crispy taco shells are so thick and hard on the teeth.
