Employees were too busy talking to each other to take our order. They kept trying to take everyone else’s order around us and we never knew who was actually taking our order and rushing us. Honestly terrible experience and I would have a complete overhaul and get new employees.

Dear Dountland
I wanted to bring to your attention a poor experience I had at your establishment this morning. I had a large order, which I was paying for with a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties with the service I received.
Specifically, the server I interacted with was unhelpful, and the owner's behavior was unacceptable. I was mistakenly told that I was refusing services because of an issue with my order. I believe this incident was a result of miscommunication, rather than a deliberate attempt to provide poor service.
Furthermore, when I attempted to pay with a $100 bill, the owner used a marker to verify the bill's authenticity. I was left feeling disrespected and judged unfairly. This behavior seems to be a result of biases displayed by the staff.
Moreover, I had concerns regarding the treatment of your employees, specifically the person handling the money. I did not appreciate the interactions I witnessed.
I would like to emphasize that I believe this incident was a reflection of poor customer service and unacceptable treatment of a customer at your establishment. I would not recommend visiting your location in Royse City and would suggest customers in the area consider alternative doughnut shops in Rockwall.
Sincerely,

I happen to be in town from Kilgore Texas while dropping off my grandchildren at school. Saw the sign. I pulled in. I brought a few different things to try. They were all delicious. At 62 my first time trying feta cheese.

The worker was rude, dismissive and seemed to rush or be impatient as I tried to decide if I wanted to try their pastry that had spinach. I was traveling thru and stopped, so I don't frequent this place. The apple fritters were cold and hard. The donuts were ok.

I visited Donutland late on a Sunday morning with my wife and son and had an overall pleasant experience. They were understandably low on stock, so my wife and I pivoted to kolaches, which was a solid move. She ordered a sausage and jalapeno kolache, which she raved about. I ordered a large sausage and bacon kolache, which was delicious and filling. It was a fine meat to pastry ratio- nobody wants a kolache with a ton of pastry and a tiny bit of meat.
My young son naturally chose a frosted donut with sprinkles and a little toy in the middle. He eagerly ate it. I also bought a vanilla frosted cake donut and a vanilla fronted glazed donut to eat later. We had some donut holes, which are absurdly cheap- 6 for $0.99. The donuts were all decent, but nothing stood out to me. I definitely need to stop by earlier in the day for a better selection.
The shop was clean and the staff was pleasant, although they were cleaning up the store pretty intensely while we were there, 60 minutes before closing.
Bottom line- kolaches were great, donuts are all right, it's ridiculously cheap (most donuts are just over a dollar), and it's conveniently located right off of I-30 on a frontage road. If you're passing by and in the mood for a quick breakfast or snack, it's a solid choice.
