Stopped in here coming home from camping at Lake Tawakoni and oh my gosh!!! Absolutely the best brisket and ribs I’ve ever had (better than Hutchins and Pecan Lodge in Dallas). Great sides and parking if you are pulling a trailer or RV. Such a cool building too. I’ll be making the drive to Royse City for this gem!

First stop here was late evening. Nice place, good people! Banana fried pie dessert was amazing. Food was Luke warm. Not shy on the portions. Just a bit much in flavor for us.. Will try again on our way back through in April 🫰

I know BBQ is a really tough thing to produce consistently. And maybe my experience isn’t the norm for this place….i liked the folks working there, I liked the feel of the restaurant, but the food was pretty pricey….and sadly the brisket was very dry. The sides were good, ribs were good, sausage is good if you like a coarse grind (I do not). But the main event (brisket) was really disappointing. I probably need to give them another try, and maybe reduce cost by sharing.
