We had our Christmas party there,but it really needs to be updated and scrubbed.... really bad.i guess that's why they keep the lights dimmed.my friend and I were shooting some pool and one of the ladies came up to my friend and told him to cover up,I didn't hear,if it was the sleeves on his shirt or the tattoos....but that place is not that fancy at all for her to tell him to cover up.

Always a great place to cook a good steak, listen to live music and country dance (or line dance) with your loved one. Very family friendly early around dinner time then transitions into an adult bar/dancehall. Large dance floor too. Really great local house bands with headliner talent coming in on weekends. Including some very well known acts. I already have my tickets for Eli Young Band coming up and I am excited. Tip: On really busy show nights be patient. It takes a lot to serve 250-500 people perfectly. The staff does care. They are celebrating 40 years in business this year. That's amazing. Please help support your local live music venues like this. There are not as many as there used to be and SOJO will not disappoint you. Great people watching too so kick back and put on your fun hat.

Great place to learn line dances with friends. There's a couples lesson on Thursday night around 7:30pm and a line dance lesson around 8:30pm.

Ribeye steak was seasoned well. Texas toast was cold. Service is hit or miss, just depends on the night.

It's a little loud with the music but you can still talk to the person next to you.

I have been here a few times before and never had any problems. Last night I entered the venue to watch Jon Wolfe perform and it was an entertaining show. The problem is as soon as I sat down, I waited 30-40 minutes for a server to attend to me which is pretty long. The server that served the people next me just walked past me like I didn’t exist. I let a staff member know that I needed someone to serve me, and he politely told me he would talk to a server to take my order. Another 30 minutes goes by, no service. I had to go to the bar to purchase my drinks. I complained to another staff member to let their manager know that I was still waiting to get serviced and I feel like it just went in one ear and out the other since I waited another hour and no service. I was polite and non hostile when requesting service and nobody listened. I left the concert early feeling frustrated. I get it was really busy and the venue is slightly understaffed but 2 hours without service and being ignored is unacceptable. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy attending shows here and it’s a cool venue, but I feel like some of the current staff members need some retraining.

This is the second time in the last 2 months that I've eaten at Southern Junction. The food has definitely gone down hill. Both times the steak was so tuff I was barely able to cut it with a knife. My steak is cooked rare, so it should have been very tender. I think with prices going up on beef, SJ is buying a lower quality of meat. Also the 2 for 1 deal is now limited. You now have a choice of 1) sirloin steak, 2)beef kabobs, 3) chicken kabobs or 4) southwest chicken. That's it for the 2 for 1 deal. No other steak but a sirloin. The salad bowl was half filled. Lettuce and a small slice of tomato with 3 croutons. The baked potato was under cooked. Needless to say, I won't be going back here to eat.

Ive wanted to come here for almost 2 years and i finaly had the chance to go. Apperently ive been passing it ever since mobed here and I didnt even realize it! The entrance was difficult to find. They really need to fix that another couple behind me also made a comment about that. Theres also next to no signal inside. The bar and pool tables are super nice!
