It wasn’t great, but it was okay enough. The food was okay. The atmosphere was okay. It looked historical, but it kinda needs a bit of a renovation if it wants to keep up because it can do great as a stopover for people going to Garner State Park. It was a small town resto. The employees were very kind and pleasant though and very accommodating, which makes up for everything.
This is the best BBQ brisket and sausage I’ve ever had! Delicious! I wish I had known about this place sooner, but now that we’ve found this jewel of a restaurant, we will be regulars! The only thing that would make it even better would be dinner time hours.
Support local! We drove by this on the way to Garner State Park and decided to stop here on the way back. It was good food. I had the 2 meat plate with Brisket and Sausage and it came with 2 sides. That Potato salad was really good stuff. Probably the best I’ve had at a BBQ joint in Texas. Also, the service was great.
