Tried this new location for the first time last night to see what all the hype was about. What a letdown. First impression, the restaurant was dirty. Trash on the floors, dirty restrooms and dirty front door. Server took our drink order and we waited over 15 minutes before tracking him down to ask about our bar drinks. Ordered our burgers and the food took a long time to arrive. When it finally did it was underwhelming to say the least. The fries were soggy and cold. The buns were stale and breaking apart. The burgers were cold. There were good flavors in there but hard to enjoy when not hot and fresh. This will be a one and done for us. We will not be back. Too many other good options nearby.

Omgosh, dinner plans fell threw because someone...me...I'm someone...forgot to thaw out the porkchops...so a last minute scramble sent us to Jakes for a to-go dinner...and omgosh, I may "forget" again!!The Kicken Chicken fried steak, fries & a side salad hit the spot, oh so good if a tad too spicy for this forgetful girl...I sure hope they can hold that spice next time, and I promise there will be a next time...

I had the classic cheeseburger with onion rings and iced tea and the food was all excellent..... Service was excellent.... Great atmosphere...... Don't know how often I can go back because I believe their prices or just a little bit too high for my budget.

My family and I tried this place for the first time last night. We got sat at a booth right away. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks of which a couple had no syrup. Then we ordered dinner. We waited for 45 minutes before the waitress told us that the kitchen stoves turned off. So we waited another 20 minutes before finally getting our food. We all got burgers. They were all flavorless and bland. No seasoning on the patties at all.Worst burgers we ever had!. They could have comped something for how long we had to wait. We had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

Kendra Shier waited our table for lunch, she is the VP of Operations at the Sachse location and she was very curtious and checked on us every 10 minutes. The burgers were great and cooked to our likes. It wasn’t crowded at 12:00 on a Tuesday so our hope is they attract more of a crowd at lunchtime.

Room for improvement. My husband ordered the chicken fried bacon cheese burger. He did not like it at all. Our onion rings were not crisp ?. The onions were super soft, not crispy at all. The batter was flat. My burger was missing something ?. I can't pinpoint it. I'd like to go back and give them another chance. Food is too expensive, ànd wasting your hard earned money on an average burger is just stupid. If I wanted McDonald's, Burger King, or Jack In The Box. I'd go there. We are all looking for that fantastic blow your mind burger ?

This was our first time to visit the Sachse location, but are long time customers of the Grapevine location so were excited to have one open up so much closer to home! We arrived just before 4p which turned out to be shift change. However, we were seated, had our drink order taken and delivered within minutes, and our server was at our table by what felt like 4:02p.We ordered the Chicken Fried Bacon Burger and Jalapeno Bottle Cap Burger as well as a large loaded cheese fries, and onion rings. All of the food was delicious, however, I would've preferred whole jalapenos on the loaded cheese fries as opposed to diced, it was just too hard to get them to stay on the fries. The only real issue with the food was the small portion of ranch. Only one small cup was brought out to accompany a large fries and the onion rings...which was simply not enough. lol We did get a second small cup when we asked, which was still not enough, but such is life. Only other issue was that the ranch was, then, removed from the table while one of us still eating, but happened so quickly we didn't even realize it was leaving until it was gone. We also ordered a side of regular fries with one of the burgers that we didn't receive, but we also weren't billed for it, so we let it go. Overall, a good experience, lots of seating and no wait.

Restaurant itself was clean and nice. The girl at the bag was nice as well. I made a togo order Saturday night at the bar and the girl was nice and everything. When I got home I opened my burger and it was missing jalapeños which I paid for. And I also asked for extra pickles not "no pickles". The burger itself was okay,but after it gave me a tummy ache. So did the other person who ate the other burger I got. I wanted to love this location but I'll just stick to the one on Skillman.
I enjoyed my visit here at Jake's... it came recommended and it did not disappoint for a family burger joint. The appetizer sampler was good as well as the mushroom Swiss burger I ordered. I was really surprised how good the Bloody Mary I ordered was... it had the perfect touch of spice! The servers were super busy but still very helpful and attentive. Can't wait for this location to start doing to go orders so I can also enjoy their good food from the comfort of home. We will definitely be back!

I was excited to see Jake's opened in Sachse. Love the one in Fort Worth! The service was great! Our server was very personable and patient. Unfortunately, our burgers were not up to par. They were small with very little of the extras. We ordered aCheddar Steer. It came with very little cheese, red onions and bbq sauce. It was very disappointing. My granddaughter ordered a Jake's burger that came on the wrong bun. We sent it back to get a plain bun for her. Well, they didn't bother to make a new burger with a new bun. In the process most of the cheese came off with the bun. It was a very plain burger. As I watched other orders coming out of the kitchen with big juicy burgers with cheese melted on the sides I wondered why ours were not the same. We will try again someday with the hope of a better food experience.
