First time at this restaurant on 12/7/24 and by far the best Hibachi experience I have ever had. The presentation was stellar and the food was amazing. Cant wait to go back!!

**new surcharge: automatic gratuity to parties of 6 or more**

Usually we love this place but service was subpar today. We had to ask for my kid’s food three times, had to ask for the small plates that typically come with appetizers, and waitress refused to ask the chef a question about sushi despite having a dietary restriction at the table.

Also, there seems to be a newish policy of automatically charging a tip to parties or 6 or more. I don’t know if my very little kids weren’t counting before, but we’ve been coming here since they opened and I’ve not see that before. Not a good policy, Osaka.

Worst sushi place I ever been in DFW. I went there with my husband on Saturday night. The place was empty, only us and 2 tables at the sushi side. Horrible service, we waited 20 minutes to be helped when the area was empty. Four waitresses were giggling and talking near the POS while we waited. I had to waive and call one of them to be helped. I should have walked away instead. Sushi was mediocre, very salty and they have a lot of sushi rolls with tempura. Ordered the Lamborghini roll and was awful. My husband ordered the tuna tower and volcano, both tasteless he said.

Music playing was awful pop and super loud. The restaurant was cold and waitress said heat was off, it was 52 degree outside. I had a full
Jacket and scarf and was freezing.

Don’t recommend and wont be back.

I’ve been coming to Osaka’s for years, and tonight we went for my Birthday. Huey our Chef had so much energy and did so many tricks I’d never seen! It was an awesome experience!!

Came in first time after a google search. Had party of 7, was told 30 min wait, only waited about 10-15. Was sat down at Hibachi table with another couple. Food was just okay in my opinion, brother said the noodles were the best ever. The ginger dressing on the salad was a little watery for me. Chef was just ok, not much of a showman (compared to other table with lasers and singing Mister Roboto) but was ok i guess. Order got messed up and he had to run to get more noodles. Only big strike came when the couple asked to have their steak cooked a bit more, after being on her plate for some time. Chef used same utensils to bring her steak to the grill that he was using for the rest of the tables food preparation. This was caught but a number of people at the table and is a no no. Apparently there is an autotip policy here, which is too bad because if the chef's service was top notch we would have given more.

So all and all an ok trip, probably will go back sometime but wasn't outstanding.

My sister and I always loved this quaint little place to enjoy the best sushi around. It's always fresh, presentation is always beautiful and did I mention the fried green tea ice cream it's to die for.
