After we were shown to our table, we sat and waited for someone to come over. We had already ordered at the front cashier so we just had to let the server know. The server was nice but after we finally got our first wine in the flight that we both ordered, we didn't see her again for 25 minutes. When she finally did come to our table, we asked if we could just order a glass of the only wine we had sampled so we wouldn't have to sit and wait with nothing to drink. We didn't have water or anything. We ordered from the special Cinco de Mayo menu and when the green chili chicken queso was finally delivered, it was so watery that you couldn't use the fork that came with it. This was very disappointing.

Blue Ostrich Vineyard and Winery is a great venue in the North Texas Hill Country. It is perfect for a couples date or small group get together. Their wines are excellent and they have a wine for any taste.

Decent wine , nice lunch. Super slow service.

We loved the wine and the ostriches, and although Levi was not our server, he was a great host and ambassador of your winery. If it wasn't for him stopping by, we would have never learned the history of the winery. He is awesome!

Great atmosphere and products but the managment does a poor job of following up on issues. After calling multiple times to change our address for wine club deliveries they continued to deliver to our old address. I called the last time and I was told I would be contacted after they follow up their staff, they never reached back out. I asked if anything will be done to correct this issue, we were told it’s our fault. They would not refund any of our lost products to correct their mistakes. They were happy tell us we need to come visit soon, what a joke.

Truly outstanding wine and beautiful views of North Texas Hill Country. This family-owned winery is a gem. We've been traveling often from McKinney to Saint Jo since 2012 to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, warm hospitality and the incredible wines. We highly recommend!

Very pretty vineyard, loved the ostriches, very little information was provided about the wine and the staff was not very engaging, the hummus was unimpressive and seemed to be store bought.

Of the three wineries in this part of Texas Blue Ostrich Winery is the best!! On weekends you really need to make a reservation. I highly recommend the flatbread and the peanut butter pretzels. The best Cabernet ever produced at BOW ... awesome!!

My husband and I have been going to Blue Ostrich ever since we discovered them on our honeymoon 12 years ago. They were our favorite of a North Texas wine tour we took. We have watched them grow from a brand new vineyard with a small tasting room into the large patio with live music and food that they are now. Through it all, Patrick and Julie have treated us like family, and every trip to the vineyard has been an event we look excitedly forward to. Throughout all the enormous growth and change Blue Ostrich has undergone these years, one thing has remained consistent: their wines are the best we've ever had!

Beautiful surroundings, great people serving, and awesome wine! This is one of our favorite outings and we come out here from 90 miles south every 2-3 months! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Recommendation ... join the wine club and now you will have an excuse to come out and pick up your wine every few months! They do deliver also, but the visit is part of the fun! - Janice and Brett

We have been Blue Ostrich wine club members for several years and have seen it grow over time but still keeping the family owned atmosphere. We came to pick up our wine and to relax there and order some wine and snacks. There was live entertainment in the pavilion provided complimentary that was enjoyable too. The weather was beautiful outside and the big doors opened up to a view of the vineyard. A very enjoyable time!

I came here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary in early January, on a Thursday afternoon. It was not very crowded at all, only three groups were present during our visit. Once you arrive, you will notice a little cage to the left where they keep one of their ostriches. It was my first time seeing an ostrich and it was pretty cool that they allowed us to see it. The place has an old farmhouse look, which makes it very unique. Our waiter was very kind and informative. She was very attentive to us and kept refilling our water and making sure we were comfortable.I would say that this place is perfect for a little date on a sunny Saturday, as long as it is not too busy. I really liked the way this place looks inside and out. After the waiter explained the wine choices to us, we went with the Black Ostrich flight. I thoroughly enjoyed those wines, they were all on the sweet side. My favorite was Poppy's Garden. It had a strawberry scent and, of course, a hint of it when you drink it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys drinking sweet wines. We also tried the Herb butter and cheese pull-apart bread and the ultimate holiday meatballs. I must say that the pull-apart bread stole the show. The meatballs tasted great with the fig, but that pull-apart bread is something else. It looks like a regular piece of bread, but you would not believe how flavorful it is! It had a fair amount of cheese and was very savory, enough to make you want more. You need to try this when you come!Overall, I was impressed with this business. If you were hesitant about visiting, I recommend that you go for it. You won't regret it!

We visited recently using the Wine Trail "passport". I know this winery has great reviews, so assume our server was just having a bad day. The place is nice, and we enjoyed the wine, but her attitude just ruined the entire experience. We will not be back.
