•Formerly known as ‘Lazy Heart Grill’ now named ‘Chisholm’s Chophouse’.• I was dissatisfied with my overall experience with this place. I was hoping since they were bought out, they would make improvements from the previous restaurant but that didn’t happen.•My meal was mediocre (chicken salad with some cheesy toast-like sandwich) (forgot the name of it)•I invited a few people to dine-in with me and I was embarrassed with their experience as they each ordered a $12 appetizer, Cheviche. This salsa should have a plentiful amount of shrimp but there was only 1 mini shrimp per bowl…the size of a nickel. They both asked for more shrimp as deserved and they brought one shot glass with ONE mini shrimp cut into multiple small parts for them to share… EMBARRASSING! We asked for the manager and he just apologized and was completely oblivious to problem solving and how to better our situation… he said sorry and brought out mediocre chicken salads and still made them pay for the salads … had to wait over 30 minutes due to this problem too.•For the one pro- the service was good and Emily was attentive and apologized for the awkward situation the manager put us in along with the ridiculous “1 mini shrimp” she brought us.

The Soft re-open under new management started Jan 3d, 2024, and the place looks better than ever. The chipotle burger was just spicy enough and the fries were crisp and hot. My husband's club was excellent as well. They have a limited menu to start, but what we had was top notch.New opening hours are Tue-Sat open 11am-4pm until they do a full reopen.Edit: the ticket reads Chisholm's Chop House although the building still says Lazy Heart.

Stopped in with the family after church based on a friend's recommendation. We had loaded cheesy fries appetizer, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, bacon wrapped pork chop, loaded baked potato and grilled cheese sandwiches plus the banana pudding and triple chocolate cake for dessert. It was all really good. The desserts were spectacular. Prices were quite reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful. We will be going back.

Quaint restaurant in a small town. This was a destination ride for my Motorcycle group. Service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced. Three of us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. We all agreed we've had better. Pork Chop looked awesome. No free refills on coffee.

If it's the last place on Earth to eat, best case scenario you would survive. My chicken fried steak was like a hockey puck. My green beans were cold. Salad was okay. I guess you can't mess up a salad.

What a wonderful place to eat really delicious food in a great atmosphere. I had a club sandwich that was huge and super delicious. I thought that couldn’t be topped till I ate their banana pudding. Best ever! Make this place a stop if you are traveling through texas on highway 82.

Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was the best I’ve ever had. Their fried okra and fried green tomatoes were also delicious. The Hummingbird cake was also fantastic. The only thing that disappointed me was the bread pudding, but I’m probably spoiled on that particular dessert, so others might not have the same reaction. The atmosphere is also great. It feels like what it is— a small town restaurant with wood paneled walls, wooden chairs, hutches along the walls, and a few paintings. Almost everyone looked up when we walked in. Our waitress was great. I’d go here again.

Not the best experience. I'm hoping it was because they were just so busy and not accustomed to having so much business at once. We had already decided to leave, and our food started arriving at our table. The entire staff was non apologetic and annoyed with us because we weren't being patient enough with them. The food was not worth the wait.

Had lunch today. Ok but not great. Had the chicken fried steak and it was ok but not “bragging “ good. Service was good and fried okra was good. We were heading to Bear’s Den at Nocona Hills. Bear’s Den Steak Fingers are essentially chicken fried steak cut into strips. Much better and much cheaper than this chicken fried.

The last time we were visiting Muenster, we decided to go out for a bite to eat. We weren't in the mood for Rohmer's or Rico's or The Smokehouse up the road, so I jumped on Yelp. REALLY glad that I did. Heading the other direction on why 82, we drove about 10 minutes to Saint Jo and found The Lazy Heart Grill right on the town's square. There were three of us. My wife and I ordered the 1/2 lb burger to split (came with fries) and ordered a side of onion rings. My MIL ordered a chicken sandwich. Everything was just great. Large menu with sandwiches and home cooking entrees, lots of salads and sides. If you sit in the right spot, you'll be able to see out of the front plate glass window that opens right onto the downtown square. Couldn't be more quaint. Without a doubt, we'll be returning the next time we go out to eat when we're in the area.
