We were in San Augustine to pick up some things and decided to get something to eat. Just up the street was this grill. We liked everything about it. Their "Customers Wanted" sign on the street was awesome. The atmosphere inside was just as awesome. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. Thank you Elisabeth!! The food is well prepared and delicious. Definitely we will return when we get back up there.
I traveled in from DFW for the day. I rolled in and sat at a booth, service was fast and friendly. I ordered the jalapeño pepperjack burger I think it was called and it was the best burger I have had in a long time, outstanding. The only thing that makes me sad is that im gonna crave that burger so im going to have to hope work sends me out that way.P.s frys were a lil bland but cooked perfectly, could use a lil kick.

My Husband and I were in Nac, to have our SUV rails installed, came into San Augustine to check our house, & our Favorite Restaurant was closed, So chose to eat Here. Amazing food (my Quesadias were Better than ever in Houston), and surprised, that included, Queso, Gaucamole, and chips , with the BEST refried beans, & rice, (being Mexican I know) for $15. My husband loved my meal, and said their baked beans were Excellent, and couldn't eat his BLT, because he was full. This Man could Give Houston Chef a class in all foods..Such a joy, his staff, was so welcoming..I would give them a TEN star.

I truly enjoyed my experience here. I ordered the chopped sirloin steak covered in mushrooms, onions, & brown gravy - it was quite fabulous. The atmosphere was cozy, warm, & welcoming. They were playing some good music as well. The staff were extremely friendly & pleasant. This place has great feel to it. I was glad I tried them out. If I've ever been to any place that deserves to carry the title: Heart of Texas Grill, it's this place. I'll be back, without a doubt.

We were seated immediately -our server was great. On the menu if it says “real” it’s good. I had the real chicken fried steak. Also our server ask if we wanted the music turned down- it was okay but no one has offered that before
