I've been here 3 times now and have had 3 different meals and everyone of then have been awesome! If you want a great place to eat you must stop in.

I went here on the recommendation of a friend and I’ll have to say the atmosphere was very Ordinary, but very clean. I had the patty melt, which I’ll have to say was some kind of mystery meat. It definitely was not a hamburger patty was not fresh. It must’ve been frozen had no flavor no taste and it was quite expensive for what I received. The waitress was very professional very nice and very helpful and the atmosphere was not bad, but I’ll have to say the main reason for going was the food and it was so far other things might’ve been better but that was definitely not worth the trip.

I dined here for my third and last time today. It's a shame, because the concept is one that is needed in the area. First time, I ordered chicken marsala, there was no marsala wine in the sauce. Mash and veg were good, but isn't the sauce the whole point? Bread pudding, no bourbon in the bourbon sauce. Second time, more chicken marsala. This time, the sauce was very good. Bread pudding, no bourbon in the bourbon sauce. Today, patty melt. Plain bread, preformed, frozen dry patty, and fries. Both so salty that they gave me a headache. Service has been good every time, but good service can't cover for crappy food. And what's with the salad forks? I've gotten salad forks two out of three times. I emailed the owner after my first experience, never got a response. Just won't be back, and won't recommend. Unfortunate. This place could be such an asset.

This place is nice for San Augustine, but they are not a 5 star place. My wife asked for cream sauce on tuna and they wouldn't give it to her, waiter acted like oh well, didn't even attempt to make it right, I got special that said green beans and they gave me spinach, didn't tell me just gave it to me like eat it or else. If they can't substitute a cream sauce why they substitute when its convenient for them. But I can't say food was bad. What we were served was very well seasoned. Just not sure about returning, and that is sad, we need good places in SA. Now I will say desserts are spot on.

Food was phenomenal we were sat and had our food within 10 minutes, Chef “Ed” himself even came over and talked with us about the opening of this restaurant and the passion and dedication he has towards satisfying his customers or in his words “family” 10/10 would recommend

My husband and I ate here for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing. The bread pudding was hands down the best I have ever had! 💯% recommend this restaurant.

We had an amazing dinner! Everything was homemade and flavored so well, they were also very accommodating to my dietary needs, we can't wait to visit again!!

We are from 2 hrs away. This was our 1st visit. The lady from Heartstrings told us how good the food is and how cute the place is. We were not disappointed. It was amazing!!!

Sujey and Chef Ed have done an amazing job on opening in a local small town east tx area. My wife and I tried the breakfast today and the French toast is top tier the best I’ve ever had. San Augustine definitely needed a high class restaurant with out of this world food. If I could give this a 10/10 I would!

Everything we have tried is delicious! We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owner and chef are very friendly! The bread pudding is a must.
