Calacas Tacos & Beer - San Benito

0 stars. Waited for more than 10 minutes, no one was taking orders and servers were just on their phones in the corner. We left because it wasn’t worth it, disappointing. There was also throw up in the restroom. Mind you, it wasn’t busy at all.

Nothing much to report here at calacas. We ordered a mix of street tacos. Tripa & fajita. Tacos were delicious but our timing was off because they had a lot of people and only two servers. It took a long time for us to get our food but in their defense they did have a help wanted sign posted.

I have tried several items from the menu and nothing amazes me.....BUT recently I've ordered the Guacamole Chicharron and it became my go to in this place!!

Had such a relaxing visit here! Our server was so sweet and did such a great job the entire time. She was quick with the menus and checking up on us and was absolutely the best. The food was great as well, I love their beans and Baja tacos. The lemonade was a great highlight as well! I always love the atmosphere in here too, the paintings on the walls are beautiful. Can’t wait to come back 🌮❤️

I have been coming to the Calacas SB location since they opened and have NEVER had a bad experience with service or food! Every entree is well prepared, delicious, and a good size serving! My favorites are the ceviche, Baja fish tacos, the trompo tacos, and crispy tripa tacos! They have a decent selection of beer and delicious limonadas! They're my go to during lent season for their fish tacos and ceviche!

This is the first time I try this location in San Benito and the last time I will .Took my family and restaurant had like 3 people eating their and I thought my food was going to be quick,but I was totally wrong.Waitress took 15 minutes to come to my table so we order drinks and aslo place our orders.Took about 20 minutes to get my orders and when I started eating my food was super cold .Told waitress and took 20 more minutes that they didn’t even started my order again .I decided to cancel my order and waitress said that order go to was priority then dinning in .So its good to know people can wait more in a restaurant . Im very disappointed in this location.

Delicious every single time. Have tried several different kinds of tacos and dishes and they're all hands down delicious. Highly recommend Pancho's or ceviche for apps, Baja fish, Birria, or tripas tacos, and the pickle Michelada is amazing every time

I'm super disappointed with the food. It was my first time ordering from her and it wasn't good. I ordered the chicharrones guacamole and the avocado was so brown (at first I thought from the chicharrones sitting on top of it, but no it had that ugly brown avocado taste) and just a smear of avocado on the bottom. The tacos were terrible I tasted 1 of each. The fajita meat was so chewy, as soon as I bit into it, a long piece of meat slide out of the taco, and it was TOUGH and the only sliver of meat in the whole taco. The Pibil meat was so dry. The only good one was the bistec. This place is too expensive to mess up this much, I'm so disappointed I wanted to like the food so bad, the pictures online make the food look so good. But it's not

I got my order queso birria and when i got home i was eating my tacos i found a piece of raw intestine immediately threw up 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!.
