Very bad service! Ordered the cake ($130) weeks in advance for it to be ready by 12:00pm, however they had trouble locating my cake and said there was no order under my name. When she went to the back of the store, magically she “found” the order but said it would take an hour more to be ready because it hadn’t even been frosted yet. I go back later to pick up the cake and it is finally ready but they gave it to me in a cardboard box not even the proper box for it and it was halfway open..drove off carefully holding the cake with one hand and driving with the other. First stop and turn the cake didn’t even move but I saw the cake leaning to one side..it had slipped off in between each layer making a whole mess. Upon further inspection we found that they did not add the proper reinforcements down the middle of the cake (specially one this tall) that they should have used. It had HALF A STRAW holding HALF the cake.. essentially doing absolutely nothing. Plus we asked the cake without any filling in between the cake layers, but they added it anyways. The cake felt very rushed it makes me think they forgot the order and didn’t even had it baked yet. Very unprofessional business will never go back

I want to tell you something that just happened to me at the Gilma San Benito Pastry Shop, that girl named Alondra Treviño hired me and told me to go to work one day because they were in need and I went because I was looking for work, I really wanted to because I was going with all my might. the attitude of going to work, that day another girl went with me also to supposedly "Train" and why am I lying to you, you didn't even notice that she had experience just like I have because she has always worked and all the places that she has worked have always told me I am very good at working and fast, I go where I go and maybe I am talkative but because that is my personality and I hope that this lark looks at this post and publishes the videos of the cameras so that one can see everything I did in that fucking store, the truth is I'm very angry because after that day I called him and sent him a message to ask if he had missed work or if he was going to go to work or when he was supposed to go because I really wanted to, the truth is I said name, this is for sure that I will do it until my legs hurt because I never sat down until I finished all the work that they told me to do, and I publish this because it was not done right when he told me that he was not going to pay me back the day he I was that because supposedly they don't pay for the entire day that day and I understand that everywhere they have to pay you even if it's a practice day or whatever, I want to hear your opinions about what just happened to me so here I leave your bakery to simply tell him to pay me the day he owes me and that just because someone is "Mexican" he doesn't have to describe people as if they were what or what. And the cake they have, you leave it for two weeks and you just change the fruits ?

The cakes were very dry and stale, and the “business” owner was not professional. They were also very rude towards a woman who was interested in working there. Telling her that she is unable to work there because she does not speak English, even though you have no knowledge of the language. Have a good time trying to read this.❤️☺️

Placed an order on March 28th for Saturday April 6th. When my mom went to pick it up on the day of the party she was told that they never made the cake. They tried to tell her she probably placed the order in Brownsville, when the receipt clearly has the San Benito address. Very unprofessional. They did give me a refund because the cake was paid in full, but I do not recommend .

My girlfriend and I had placed a order in a custom cake a week or 2 ago for today. We were asked the time and date so we said 10am. When we arrived the store was closed even tho they open at 8 am and while we called to get the status on the cake or the business no one was answering . After many failed attempts i received a text message from either the owner or a worker saying they were at the hospital and didn’t keep us informed even tho they said they did . It was such a bad experience even tho we come this business a lot to show our support . We have another cake planned for my birthday hopefully they don’t disappoint as they did today

Went in right before they closed to buy a cake for a 8 person dinner party that was next door. I purchased a chocolate cake. Little did I know that it had probably been sitting there for days. It was like cutting in to a sponge with chocolate frosting on it. Everyone at the table was just completely astonished at how bad it was. Please take pride in your product. These were all professional business people that tried your cake. Major thumbs down from 8 people!

I had paid for my cake in advance so I can have it for my birthday I get a text exactly today on my birthday saying we're having issues with the cake they should of told me in advance so I can go do my cake some place else than here never coming here again after this experience
