Tara was the most polite, kind and sweet waitress we have ever had! She really made our night with her great service and friendliness with our whole family. The food was delicious, especially the burrito plate and the house made waffle icecream cones!

Being a waitress for overc 17 years, and earning several “best waitress” titles in Bell Counties newspaper, several years, when i worked at that family restaurant pretty much sums up my recommendations and experience, which that was my 3rd waitress job i had. Only quitting the first 2 was because of moving. The restaurant that i worked 17 years was a family owned restaurant. The father and youngest son cooked, the daughter and myself were the only waitresses during the 10-3 lunch shift, and the mother, she stayed out front, running the register, helping us if we needed help, filling our drinks, ect.. this was no small place, 18 tables for one waitress and I had 17, there was a big party room that held close at 125 people and there were many times we had to seat customers back there. We did not have a busboy or dishwasher, we cleared and wiped down, our tables, and on many occasions, we would run out of glasses in the middle of our lunchtime so either myself or the other waitress would do dishes in the middle of that lunch run. Still, not any of our customers ran out of tea, water, or whatever they were drinking or needing! Once lunch slowed down, 1:30-2, we are already starting to do the rest of the dishes, oh did i mention, we had no machine that washed the dishes, it was 3 sinks with a long stainless table and most of the time I washed the dishes, which the mother or daughter would watch my tables for me. By 3 we have all the silverware rolled, chopped enough lettuce, diced tomatoes and more prep work for the night shift. The problem I see with pretty much all restaurants, hiring younger staff with no or very little experience. Asking the other waiter that has been there long enough to train the new employee is a big mistake. If you want to know why it is, reach out to me. Redcap has very friendly staff, but for the most part training would really help,Not only for your customers, but the wait staff, bus-boys, cooks, even you. Your waitstaff could make more money with a little training. Why did i go into detail about my experience, I really like the food, the waitresses that have waited on me were very friendly, food is good, and we need take care of all of our small businesses and i feel like RedCap has been around a long time.

I eat breakfast here several times a month, and lunch or dinner maybe once a month. The food is always fresh and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

We enjoy the food and the service. My only complaint is there aren’t changing tables in the bathrooms. Please provide a place for me to safely change my child!

We would eat there very often living close by. We have never complained about anything until today. My son’s omelet had burnt hash browns inside and tasted terrible. My toast was burnt but no big deal I had other food to eat. Brought it to our waitress attention and she got the manager. She said she would bring it to the cooks attention. My issue is my son’s food should have been discounted at the very least. Food is too expensive to not to be able to eat your food. I wanted to say let me see you eat there very often burnt food.
We went here on our way back from Galveston and I was craving a burger. We decided to stop here due to the ratings. I am so glad we did. We order 3 burgers with fries and a BLT sandwich. It was so good. The staff was so nice and the food came out fast and fresh.We will definitely come back again.
