Was driving back to Houston with my brother and we wanted to sit down for dinner somewhere right off I-10. A quick google search had Earnesto’s just off the freeway but a lower “star” rating from couple bad reviews had us cautious , but we took a chance and were not disappointed. Got super lucky. The spicy fajita meal had a tastier steak than the salty ribeye at a steakhouse the previous night. The sauces for the chips were def good and unique. I don't care for Mexican food. In fact, I tried a different place, in a different city, the following day. it was bad. That's how I know Ernesto's food is worth it.
The staff was very friendly and the food was great, with large portions, but the menu was minimal. I just ordered some tacos. They only served menudo on the weekends, and they didn't have chicharon tacos.
