Came into town on Easter Sunday for a funeral. Not very many restaurants to choose from. This place was startlingly good. Server was very sweet. We had shrimp and catfish. Both were very good. Recommended.

Worst food I have ever seen, the raw oysters were not clean and had a thick green substance on it, the salad was brown and wilted, not to mention the Cesar salad was drenched in dressing and was more like a soup. The waitress was a sweet girl and didn't even notice that we didn't eat our meal, only some of the baked potatoe. We paid the full bill and just said thank you!

Food was excellent! Ordered fried catfish and shrimp, blackened tilapia and crawfish etouffee! Hush puppies too! Everything was fresh and our waitress was very warm , welcoming and attentive! Will come back soon!

DO NOT EAT HERE!"Not good" 1 star, should be "not acceptable". We chose to try this place for dinner ~7:30pm on a Wednesday. It was "seat yourself" greeting (only two of us) and with only 2 tables being used and 1 table just leaving, we had 10-12 other tables to choose from, 4 tables we went to were sticky, the table that was just returned to service (new utensil/napkin wrap placed on table) this table had visible food smears. We went to a larger table it seemed OK, about that time the manager met us, i told him all the tables we tried to sit at needed to be cleaned, he said "we will clean them tonight". we were close to leaving but there are very few restaurants in Sealy so we wanted to "try it". We ordered 6 Large Butterflied Fried Shrimp, Chicken Fried Steak, each come with salad & one side. Salads were OK 1 had a couple off color pieces of lettuce but over all looked and smelled fresh, dressing was house made Ranch from seasoning pack but tasted ok. The Shrimp were smallish (26-30 count) each shrimp on the plate had a dab of grease under it, baked potato looked OK, the shrimp tasted old and tough, the sour cream on the baked potato was rancid. The tarter sauce & cocktail sauce tasted nasty & weird with dirty hand cut plastic bottles.The Chicken Fried Steak was cooked in a deep fryer on its edge where the meat was over cooked on one end and the breading on the other end was more than an inch away from the meat, trying to give the CFS a chance with the gravy only made it worse, the mashed potatoes were very dry and no help from the gravy. When the waiter came to see that we were not eating he explained the "regular cook" was not there and he would talk to the mgr about "discounting " our bill. The waiter returned with the bill without explanation, only to say he was surprised the backup cook was not better.The "discounted bill" was only 15%. The manager did not come to speak with us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this place!

Best unexpected surprise Ive had in a while. YES, this place is adjacent a gas station....but wow! Friendly staff, prompt service and surprisingly good.The catfish and shrimp were very good, green beans slightly addictive and a nice salad to start things off.This is not a big fancy place, just small friendly and delicious.

First time here. This place was a Huddle House in the past. New restaurant still has a diner feel to it. Food is housemade, tasty and not badly priced. Did go on first day of lent/Valentine's and they were understaffed ~ only 1 server but he did an excellent job with all the tables that were trickling in!Vegetarian options: They have various items aside from steak & seafood that say vegetable only including salds, vegetable fried rice, alfredo pasta, grilled cheese, baked potatoes and maybe a few more items a vegetarian can choose from.Parking: Restaurant connects to gas station convenience store store so it's shared parking plus a section closed off for construction right now.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu availableWheelchair accessibility: Ramp and wide doors connected to convenience store for entry

The service was fine but they need more staff. The workers are all very kind but we had to grab our own menus, silverware, etc. The food was like bad bad. The raw oysters smelled weird and had sand in them. The mashed potatoes were cold, the ranch in our salads tasted like water.

We stumbled across this place while looking for a home in Sealy. The Google reviews were very promising.As we entered, Donna greeted us warmly, turned down the TV that had the game playing above our booth and walked us through the entire menu.Started off with the shrimp cocktail. and she brought us a taste of both the gumbo and étouffée .Wound up ordering the dinner for 2 which included two salads two bowls of gumbo, two sides and 30 shrimp. The gumbo was amazing. The mashed potatoes are made from scratch, and the shrimp are jumbo not little bitty things.We will definitely return !
