We stopped off there about lunchtime, when it was quite busy. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was quick, with the waitress offering refills of tea and coffee. One of the best places we encountered on our travels- genuine, friendly people who enjoy their work and do it well. If we were living in Texas, I'd be back regularly. As it is, it's one of the most pleasant memories of our time visiting Texas.

If you are looking for an old fashioned diner then the food and atmosphere is what you would expect. I had the chicken fried steak, is sure hit the spot. And I finished with a slice of pecan pie that reminded me of my grandmother's.
