I paid $100 for 5 pieces of brisket(1pound) that were extremely fatty, a chicken, a small portion of chicken dumplings and 1.5 pounds of pork ribs which came out to 3 ribs! (one of which is dried up). I think I got last nights bbq warmed up again for today. You do not get much for the money! $100 bucks for 5 pieces or brisket, a chicken and 3 ribs is absolutely ridiculous. I won’t be back again.

Love the catfish. And the slaw is the best I have ever tasted. I ordered two gallons for a wedding we hosted, everyone loved it,creamy and just a hint of sweet, very small pieces,easy to eat. There french fries are the best too. The food is always fresh and hot. Love that place

Husband got fish n shrimp..fish was good, shrimp was fried too long...I had chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and okra gumbo. The okra was not gumbo..it's sweet n sour tasting, didn't like that at all..will go back but different sides.

A dear friend told me about this place and I was interested in trying the joint out since I had never been here. Let me say that I will be back again for sure!! The baked potato with chopped brisket and the works is absolutely delicious!!!

This visit I got home with ribs brisket and chicken- I have to say ALL meat is not fresh and hot. Ribs and brisket appear to be dry and old. Veggies were lukewarm. Disappointed - haven’t got to the pie yet. * pie was good

This is the real deal skip all the touristy spots in Seguin and head over to Johnny’s. It’s a special place with just the right country atmosphere. The food was delicious and well prepared, the service and staff super friendly. we will be back for another visit next time we are in town.

The fried fish is consistently good but the fried chicken is hit or miss. Need an upgrade on fountain drinks as all were gross but they were kind enough to offer a can opposed to water. Very crowded, could use a bigger dining area. But either way will def be a returning customer.
They were closed til Monday. Disappointed because we drove from NB, but we will go back, we will call next time

excellent huge chicken fried steak, one of the best in Seguin. everything from scratch, seemingly
the Texas toast was the bomb.com
only thing was that they plate it under the chicken fried steak, so it ends up covered in gravy, which is slathed on egregiously
i would suggest yall order the gravy on the side... because the gravy softens the crust, so the second half you'll be eating gravy doughy steak
abs yes, way better than power plant chicken fried steak. power plant needs to change their breading recipe
