I was excited to learn about this place from my son, as we've not found a truly remarkable pizza in San Antonio. We loved Ms Ellies, but since it closed, nothing else has checked all the right buttons on our pizza meter. The crust was phenomenal....thin base, bubbled up charred edges, slight crisp on the surface giving way to the perfect chew. The sauce...perfect in its simplicity...just tomatoes and not much else, if anything....perfect amount of cheese (light) so it doesn't...
Best thin crust pizza I have ever had in my 33 years! Had the “bobo mushroom” and the “da meatball”. Extremely good pizza, very good ingredients, and cooked perfectly! I will be back!
This is the second time I've tried this pizza spot. The first time they were at or near the same location but in a trailer or something similar. I had the soppressata and added Italian sausage. The pizza was salty for me. The fresh basil was a nice touch and kind of balanced out the saltiness but there was just a small amount of basil. The bottom crust is too thin. There were a few air pockets but mostly it was pretty flat. Overall a pretty uninspiring pizza.
