Cook Shack has long been a favorite for my wife and me, largely because of their educator discount, which meant a lot to her as a teacher. The recent decision to discontinue it has left us frustrated and reconsidering our loyalty. The food is still a highlight. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and flavorful, with sides like creamy mac and cheese and tangy coleslaw that hit the mark. But the prices feel a bit steep for comfort food, and without the discount, it’s harder to justify the cost on a teacher’s budget. The atmosphere is decent, with cozy decor and friendly staff, but the music is often too loud, making conversation difficult. It feels more like a bar than a family-friendly spot. Dropping the educator discount was a misstep. It made Cook Shack special and showed appreciation for teachers like my wife. Now, it’s just another pricey restaurant with good food but a less inviting vibe. We hope they reconsider, but until then, we’ll likely visit less often.

Let’s just take a moment of silence for how amazing this place truly is. It saddens me that this is the first time I’ve ever been here. Staff is super friendly and works as a team, customer service was impeccable. Their waffles are so soft and fluffy with a cinnamon butter, chicken tenders are seasoned to perfection and perfectly crisp. Their Hog Heaven fries had some bomb pulled pork and fries had lots of flavor without being overly seasoned.The Mac and cheese is fresh and creamy and full of flavor. I really cannot sing their praises enough. I will be a returning customer for sure.

First time trying it because the chicken sandwich looked so good on the Door dash advertisement. I gotta say the sandwich tasted better than it looked! I got mine Texas Hot, which was perfect but most people may want medium.

It's pretty rare when my entire family says the food was excellent. All four of us enjoyed our lunch there. The other's got chicken and said it was some of the best chicken I've ever had, and I got a burger and it was very delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Amazing food with different spice levels. I like my stuff hot. The high level really isn’t that hot and medium has no spice to it at all. There is a super hot level which a waiver must be signed before the restaurant will make it. I plan on coming back and I recommend that you give this place a try. Indoor/outdoor seating with T.V. available.

Excellent food. 1 st time here and loved it. Ribs so tender they just peel off the bone with no effort. Sweet potato waffles fries were on point. I had a half rack and my girlfriend had the chicken tacos. She said it had the right amount of spice and loved it. I will definitely be making it one of the restaurants I go to when I don't want to cook. I usually don't go out to eat because I smoke meat and grill all the time so not many restaurants can hold a candle to my cooking. This place can.
