This is a Texas diner with homestyle food. Breakfast is probably our favorite, with anything from scrambled eggs to omelets and chicken fried steak and of course, good hashbrowns. If you are not a local, they'll know, so be confident and walk in like you've been there before. Generally speaking, it's seat yourself, so just like at grandma's house, gesture politely and say something about if it's okay to just be seated. You'll probably get a nod, and then you find a seat. You know the rest. When you're ready to leave, get up and head to the front and they'll help you settle the check. Don't wait for someone to bring it. Restrooms are single stall only, men's and women's, old and worn but clean for the most part. Walking back outside, you'll enjoy the crunch of the gravel parking lot and the open sky. You'll be all right.

Food was really good perfectly cooked over medium eggs. They are located off the highway and hidden a bit. But it’s a Gem. Service was ok. The lady was very nice, but seemed to pay more Attention to the older folks/regulars. But definitely worth a try to support a local small business.

By far my favorite restaurant in town!! I get a crispy chicken salad and it’s so good. Plates are a good size and you don’t break the bank eating here.

We were passing by on our way to Hobbs, NM and stopped here. First time trying them out. We walked in, and since it’s a first for us, we didn’t know that you just kind of walk in and sit wherever you want. They kind of just starred at us when we walked in, and then told us to sit wherever. While eating, I noticed they have a lot of regulars, which is great, just don’t assume everyone knows to sit wherever, pay at table, etc. Anyway, I was stuck between ordering the Popper burger or the smash burger but our waitress said it would take 20min to make the smash burger so I went with the popper. My brother got the chicken tenders with home fries. We get our food, and I noticed our burger (my mom and I split the burger in half since we asked if they were big burgers and the waitress said yes) only had tomatoes, lettuce, mayo & pickles. I did find it odd that the waitress asked if I wanted Mayo and everything on it but didn’t say anything because I was very straightforward with “I’ll go with the Popper burger”. We have already taken a bite of it and it was good. Still I let the waitress know that we didn’t get the popper burger and she said, “you didn’t want the smash burger” and I said correct because you said it would take 20min so I asked for the popper and she said, “well that one also takes 20min as well”. I told her she only said that the smash burger took 20min. She was apologetic and said she could place another order and I politely said that it was okay, we didn’t mind, just wanted to verify the order and not get charged extra for something I didn’t get. I do recommend this place, just make sure you verify upon ordering. We also got home fries on the side and got onions rings with our burger order.

This is our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in town. Their burgers are fantastic (and huge!) The tomato soup is SO good, and for breakfast, their French toast is a favorite!
