This place is the best! I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, which was great! The dirty rice is phenomenal! I wasn't going to get the banana pudding, but the waitress( I didn't get her name) talked me into it and I emptied that bowl pretty quick! I will definitely be back. Seating is limited, but if you have to wait, it will be worth it!

The service and food here were great!!! I had the Doc Holiday burger with sweet tea, and I loved them both. I was a little surprised to learn the burger didn't come with fries, tho. I didn't really need fries because the burger was so big I barely finished it! I'll definitely be back in here very soon! They also have a drive up window for call ahead orders!

Great BBQ place to eat.
If you like BBQ, you should try this place.
I recently had a chance to try it out when me and my total group of four were in the area for a new livestock trailer purchase and I must say that I will stop here again when I am near.

My absolute favorite BBQ place ANYWHERE. You aren't sad, you just need the spicy tacos with the siracha slaw. If only our government ran as well as Slim runs his BBQ.

This is some of the best food I’ve had in West Texas! Brisket can go toe to toe with the best in Texas! Sides are super flavorful as well! + +

The brisket tacos are my go to because they are so good, and there aren't many places in town with good brisket. I would give 5 stars but almost $17 for 3 brisket tacos and no drink for only about 1 cup of brisket split between 3 tacos is too pricey in my opinion.

So this review is for the food AND the FFL portion. First let me start with saying Terry is just a really nice guy. Came in right as they closed to pick up a rifle I thought had been transferred. Wasn't there yet. He gave me a chopped brisket sandwich for my drive back to Hobbs. The sandwich was absolutely awesome! Terry called later in the evening and I drove back around 8 to get the rifle. Cheapest FFL fee I've seen in the area or anywhere for that matter. Shot the breeze with him and was getting ready to leave when he sent me back with the days leftovers. Burgers, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, sausage, and brisket. Y'all, I'm from the Lockhart area which claims to be the birthplace of BBQ and this place was better than any of the joints down in my area.

Appreciate the small-town attitudes and hospitality that this place exudes. World could use more of that. Y'all gained a customer and a friend for as long as I'm in the area!

Very happy to have discovered Slim’s on my roadtrip. These reviews don’t lie! Such a warm, welcoming environment with fast service and delicious food. We ordered their amazing brisket tacos, frito pie, and finished up with banana pudding. Their drive thru window was also a great addition for anyone on the go.

Really good stuff. Brisket was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I liked that they used texas toast. The beans were delicious and tasted like they were made with love. We will be returning.

What a hidden little gem.... my boyfriend, myself and friends decided we wanted some BBQ while out riding and stumbled upon this place. The waitress was very attentive and the owner Terry quickly realized we were new and offered free samples of the TACOS! Left us all saying maybe we should have ordered those... the BBQ was OUTSTANDING! We definitely will be coming back.
