In response to Alyssa Harts review. I was your waitress. You failed to mention that you came on the BUSIEST weekend of the year. I was the only waitress and I was working hard and keeping up the best I could to have a restaurant full of people! You DID NOT have to get your own drinks. That was an absolute lie. And for the food to be so nasty you and your party stayed for 2 hours making multiple trips to the buffet. You were mad you had to pay full price, you even called complaining about that, and not only that you were horrible to wait on and you allowed your children to throw food all over the floor. You were every waitresses nightmare table an I am so grateful to hear that you will not be back. Have a blessed day!

Went to eat a buffet and the didn’t have much of anything what so ever and prices were outrageous not only that the food was nasty. We had to go and get our own drinks and refill them. I will never ever go back to that place.

Inedible Food! I have absolutely no explanation on how they have been rated 4.7? Lots of family members reviewing them maybe? My wife and I ham and eggs. The food was cold, and had a "wild, smelly" taste. We literally took one bite and decided to leave. Because we left in a hurry, my wife accidentally left her reading glasses there. We discovered that about 50 miles down the road, called the restaurant, left a message on their voicemail, no response. The next day did the same thing, NO RESPONSE again. This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience we have ever had in our entire life.

Dropped in for a late lunch on my way through Texas going to Nova Scotia and it did not disappoint at all! Great service, great food with big portions, and very affordable. The haystack was awesome and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. I'll definitely be back again.

Loved it. We stopped for lunch on our way through Texas and it was unforgettable. Great food, great sized portions, great prices, great service. I recommend the haystack! Looking forward to coming back one day. Out of my entire 19-State roadtrip, they're in my top 5 restaurants.

The food was ice cold. Thrower came over and inlet him know to whichbhe said let me check it and leftnforn5 minutes retrieving his thermometer and said food is hot. I asked if he would like to try my food, which he declined. Then, i asked if he would microwave my plate. He left for 10 minutes and returned with the plate so hot the food would've burned your mouth and threw the plate on our table!!! I cook and know those food thermometers go bad all the time, but he was not interested in the customer. And he is in customer service?? Don't go here!!! Food can not be served cold it is a health hazard! I will be reaching out to the health department as well. Don't have a buffet if you can not manage it properly

This was exactly what I was looking for. A local spot with good food and nice people. I will stop back by here when I pass through this part of Texas again.

My goodness this breakfast was amazing. Fresh farm eggs. Real, I mean real homemade style biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were made perfectly with that fantastic buttery taste. And the sausage gravy that was added send me to another time when your grandmother made meals from scratch.

Hash browns yummy as well. The coffee is above Starbucks—-Really good

I felt welcomed by the waitress there. Who was by herself handling a bunch of customers. She did exceptionally job.

If you're passing through Shamrock like we did please stop by and have the biscuits and gravy.

Wonderful owners and waitresses. Food is always amazing. This place is such a gem in Shamrock. Now opened for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays with an extra menu! Also has great art for sale from local artists.
