If u want real authentic bbq then this is the place. The owner makes everthing himself. He is so humble and welcoming! We ordered the ribs and they were so tender and falling off the bone He was out of brisket. Can't wait to go back and try it and the chicken. You will also have a chance to see all his trophies he has gotten over the years of competition. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Mr. Bolton for your hospitality!

Delicious brisket and sausage. Random stop on our drive through East Texas...so glad we did. If you get the sandwich, recommend having the sauce on the side so you can add it yourself/bun fell apart (but the meat/the real star was A++ so not docking them for the bun). Mr. Jimmy was very friendly.
Closed. We were there at 2:00 p.m. on July 5th a Friday and they were closed and there were no notes or signs so I don't know if they're closed for good or . . .

One-man show, competitive BBQ pit master. "Everything I cook is good." He's not kidding. We had ribs, brisket, sausage & a brisket sandwich. Even his sides (beans & potato salad) were delicious! If you're looking for outstanding Texas BBQ in an authentic atmosphere, do yourself a favor & stop in.
I can't give anymore than 1 star because I never got to try their food. I drove over an hour this past Sunday only to find out they were closed. Google clearly states that they are open til 5 on Sunday. But the sign on the door of the business says closed Sunday. I tried calling but got no answer but decided to go anyway because in another review I read the owners daughter stated that her dad is hard of hearing and she doesn't answer the phone when she is preparing orders. So I figured she just wasn't answering the phone. I was really looking forward to trying their barbecue. I guess if I ever get another chance to try their food I'll edit my review. Hopefully they get their correct hours posted on Google so others want drive aong way to find out they're closed because I know many peoples who will drive a long way to try really good barbecue.
Food is excellent. I had the brisket and ribs with sides of potato salad and beans.
All meat was flavorful and tender. Will definitely stop again!
