Clean and friendly. Some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten.
this barbecue spot is absolutely one of the best that I've tried the barbecue and brisket pork is extremely tender and has a good smoke flavor and the baked potato with brisket on top is is extremely good and the portions are good size I definitely recommend you trying this spot it is a little more pricey but well worth it the jalapeno poppers was not from there but I added it them on the side
Absolutely great Barbecue!! Came down for work and stopped for lunch. The owner and staff are absolutely great people and they serve great portions of food, excellent taste! 100% recommend!
normally people here are awesome. Tonight 2/12/25 I wanted to order beef and Turkey. but the lady behind the counter made such a big deal about needing the turkey cut on a separate board from the beef, I just left. reason I needed it separate was because person wanting Turkey don't eat beef. This place has never had an issue but tonight she was rude and acted as if I was putting her out. I love your food sorry I had to due without tonight.
Wednesday is Chopped BBQ baked potatoes and they are wonderful. Quality brisket served with a welcoming smile. Definitely recommend.
Amazing brisket Great service
Delicious food. Friendly staff.
Drove an hour just to eat here, & the pictures on Facebook are better than what we were served in person. Ribs were off the end of a rack (bunch of small bones) & burnt! Texas twinkies were small & over cooked/dried up. Only got a small ring of onion, maybe 1 ounce of bbq sauce in small cup, no salt/pepper shakers on tables, baked potato was overcooked (burnt on bottom; leftover from Saturday probably) AND NOT giant as advertised with 1/2 ounce of sour cream in container. Staff didn’t act like they wanted to work on a Sunday. Definitely not worth the Sunday afternoon drive.😡
Best bbq around! Texas twinkies are a must have!
I live in Kountze and I wish we had stuff like that close to where I live cuz there's nothing over here but Mama Jack's dairy Queen and Sonic and I don't like it!!!

Very good food and the staff is amazing
Jeremiah made a freshly chopped brisket sandwich for me on New Year’s Day. Best I’ve had in years and definitely top 3 all time. Fresh bread, moist brisket with great flavor along with pickles and onions. Oh yeah! I smoke my own brisket and have eaten all over Texas. Take the time to stop and try this place. It’s worth it. Oh and ask for him to make up a side of smoked boudin with Mac ‘n cheese. You’ll wish you had ordered double. Great brisket served up by a super nice guy.
We stopped in while traveling. It was 6:45 and Doc’s closes at 7:00, yet we were invited to “come on in”. I believe it was Doc that waited on us. He offered to fry fresh okra or french fries if we wanted them, but we made quick selections and got busy eating. After we paid and sat down to eat, he came and brought fresh okra to the table and before we were done he brought peach cobbler as well. (His daughter had made it that morning and I got the feeling he didn’t want it to go to waste.) I recommend the food and I feel sure you’ll enjoy the hospitality. Thanks for a good, quick supper while on the road.
The food is phenomenal and the owners and staff are wonderful! We stopped for lunch today and it was great! Prices are very affordable. Try them out. You won’t be sorry!
