Stopped by this restaurant before heading back home to Houston. Tried the meatloaf lunch and "OH MY GOODNESS!! " This was the BEST meatloaf I have ever tried!!! The Chicken fried steak was also very delicious!! Everything was very delicious. The cornbread was SOOO good!!! The server and owner were super nice the atmosphere was so comfortable! This place is a must try if you are passing through Snyder Tx or staying here over night.

The staff is amazing! Lots of locals at lunchtime. We started with sweet cornbread and ordered the CFS & CFC. Both hot, fork tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes are real! Cream gravy excellent. I asked for the green beans recipe and my husband ate the mushrooms and onions first. Large portions, we ate all we could and brought home the rest for dinner. ? We will be back for sure!

The food was great, not overly seasoned. The banana pudding was awesome, fluffy and airy. Didn't get to try some of the sides I wanted, but really showed up too close to closing, will have to try again another day. The breading on the smothered steak was nice and thin, which I like, rather than the thick over-floured that you would find most places. I did see some nice looking salads at other tables that I might have to try next time around.

This place was AWESOME...!FOOD WAS INSANELY GOOD...!I live on the road traveling for work, And this place is (( Grandma's cooking )) and I mean good Grandma's cooking like secret recipes..

Very good fried chicken and chicken fried chicken. Mashed potatoes were not ready when we visited. Green beans tasted canned but the cornbread and rolls were delicious!

Texas Monthly found Mrs. Kathy's back in 2008. The internet knows her now. This lunch only slice of heaven is exactly what the name describes... Southern and comfort! We had chicken fried steak, hamburger steak and you can't go wrong. But the pintos, cornbread and the corn!!!! Honey, get those. Ended the meal with peach dumplings. Not able to clean the plates, so much deliciousness. If you're around Snyder from 11 am - 2 pm Monday thru Friday, go stand in line, help clear a table if necessary or better yet, sit with a new friend. We will be back, after a nap!

Small hometown cafe. Friendly energetic staff. We had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. All very good. Must stop on your travels.

1st things first, get there early for lunch or chance not having a spot to sit! Place is popular. They offer daily specials so check in advance on that.Fresh brewed tea is always a plus for our family, so yea. Serve fresh hot biscuits and cornbread with meals. My son got the chicken fried steak and it was a win! Tender! Cut with a fork! ( I hate a chewy chicken fried steak)Anyways if you are in Snyder, definitely suggest lunch here❤️

Wow!! Stopped here on a road trip! So good!! Excellent southern food and the service was superb! Our group had hamburger steak, fried pork chop, green beans, friend okra and cabbage! And the banana pudding was to die for!We’ll stop here again!!

Great old-fashioned southern cooking. It's my favorite place to eat in Snyder. Sadly, their hours are limited, like many businesses here.I try to get my meals whenever I want a really good meal, but it's difficult with their hours.Some of the best cornbread I've ever had.

I found this place while working in town. Best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had, good atmosphere and great food. It’s worth the stop.

As much as I'd like to give Mrs. Kathy's a higher rating, it was just perfectly average.The food was good, but the portions were reasonably small. The prices were just a little too high for what you got, as well.The service was friendly, but even in an almost empty restaurant (three other tables), I was halfway through my meal before I was offered rolls. I said, "please," but they never brought them. The other three tables did receive them, though.
