We had gone to Socorro Farmers Market in lower valley on a Saturday. Someone there suggested we try Cafe Piro for breakfast and we loved it! The foods was incredible, will definitely go again. It’s across from the mission. They did a wonderful job remodeling, I can’t say enough about it. Their vegetarian 👍🏻menu is for everyone.
I recently visited Cafe Piro and it instantly became one of my favorite spots. The coffee is absolutely incredible—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed. You can tell they take their coffee seriously. But it’s not just the coffee that shines here.
Their food is made from scratch, and it truly shows. I tried their hatch green chile quiche, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—flaky crust, a perfectly creamy filling, and a delightful blend of flavors. Everything else on the menu is just as fresh and delicious.
Great food and great service! The whole vibe is excellent, and they really go all out to make your visit special! Both the food and drinks were a delight. I highly recommend!
We used to go there to wrap up our weekends on Sunday evenings. Now they close early. It's a shame.
LIFE CHANGING we need more people and more places serving food like this. From story to plate, everything was beautiful. The soup (Pozole Tres Hermanas) was perfect on this rainy day and the drink was packed with flavor (Marranitto). Locally sourced indigenous meal ❤️
Their posole was amazing. The cafe gives you an upbeat and vibrant vibe. It was worth making a trip from Las Cruces to visit.
Love this place

El Paso NEEDED Cafe Piro…the menu is incredible and diverse while staying true to its roots and without being inaccessibly bougie. You HAVE to come try it! And their coffee is unquestionably the best you can find in the area. My family in Austin would have to bring beans from Austin when visiting El Paso but not anymore! The staff was so generous and kind, we will certainly come every time we visit El Paso!

Beautiful cafe, queer friendly and delicious food, really the only thing I would tell people to watch out is the parking since it's can be a bit small, especially if you have a bigger car. Other than that, it's all great atmosphere and great people. My favorite is eggpai and the cafe piro coffee

Great service, food was delicious. Somewhat of a limited option. Beautiful decor and building, lots of local art, great location. Salad was fresh and had a sweeter dressing with some really nice figs. Posole had a nice flavor and spice, it is a vegetarian three sisters posole, in case you're expecting beef or chicken. Overall excellent restaurant and a must try. You can't beat the historic area, the excellent environment and great food.

Cafe Piro has definitely become a go to spot when I’m in town visiting family. Gabe and Mel are so sweet and engaging. It is very obvious the love, dedication and creativity that they have put towards creating this little cafe gem that honors Socorro roots.
Vegetarian options: Overall great nourishing options that are filling; I’m so glad that this is available in Socorro. The coffee options are also delish. Old Fashioned latte with oat milk is my favorite.
Dietary restrictions: I am so happy to see a local spot that is using locally grown and indigenous foods in its menu. The 3 hermanas pozole is such a beautiful dish that is so nourishing and it’s great to have a non-meat option.
Parking: The parking in front area is small but there is parking around the spot that is accessible.

If you are looking for healthy options, Cafe Piro has it. Love the avocado toast. Wish they had a few more items on the menu, it would be perfect. Awesome place and special attention by owners make this place special.
Vegetarian options: Side salad is made with select lettuce, topped with cherry tomatoes and olive oil dressing with herbs. Nice touch.
