I have been in Texas 3 weeks and of the last 6 diners, this is the only diner that will not let you see the bottom of your coffee cup. The portions were big, good and reasonably priced. Doing mama proud!

No, don't come here. We were there last Friday for fish special. We went mid afternoon, so it was very lightly occupied. We should get good service, right? Haha oh no, not at all. The server was incredibly rude and slow. She would YELL across the restaurant! Yes. She'd SHOUT OUT whatever. Incredible. Wow. Even in the old ice houses in Houston, or the crazy honkytonks, never have I seen this. Then the food: the fish was good, yes it was near perfect catfish. But everything else was so bad, like leftovers from last month! And the dessert? You're kidding: crumbly dough with a dollop of cherry jam, over so-called vanilla pudding? Terrible, awful. Hard to believe this is even edible. The sides were just as bad. Actually had to eat somewhere else after eating here.
Please go somewhere else, try any other restaurant. Not here...

Always Awesome Food!!! This was 1 year to the day I met my now wife, Robin... we met here and we came here after we got married!!! Good memories for sure!!!
Extremely good food, been here 2 days in a row. Visiting at the lake and this is the spot to go. The chicken fried steak is massive and the pancakes are so good. I love the homey feeling to it too.

Delicious country breakfast! Exactly what my mom was looking for. The eggs were cooked perfectly, French toast , SOS with sausage and biscuits were super. My only complaint is that all the condiments were served in little plastic containers with tops. Please try to reduce your use of single-use plastics.

Found driving by on our way home from Houston Just a great place overall, very family friendly atmosphere. Stopped by with my mom. The blooming onion was perfect, sweet potato fries were a treat, the cheese burger so juicy, and I had the grilled chicken sandwich, delicious. Staff is very friendly, know their menu and had great suggestions.
