Stopped in for lunch before heading to take of some business that brought us to this town to begin with. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with smoked mac n cheese. Meat could have been a little more tender but the flavor and seasoning on the batter was done well, and the meat was a good portion for the price. Just wish it was cut in half or I thought to ask for a knife to cut it in half. The mac n cheese was excellent, and had a nice smoke flavor from being on the grill and a nice little spice kick on the backside. If I'm ever this way again this would be my choice to eat at.

The best bar b que we've had in a very long time. The family that owns the restaurant is very friendly. We will definitely go back.

This place is a little gold mine! The food was absolutely delicious. Even my salad was fresh and amazing. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. The staff were very professional, kind, and welcoming. Old country style restaurant with 5 star fine dining experience. I’m so glad we ordered extra food to bring home with us to enjoy more of.

Only getting 3 stars because the one time I’ve eaten there, the food was very good. However, when I check google and your Facebook and both say you’re open and I travel all the way to town only to find you closed, you’ve lost my trust that you’ll be open if I ever want to drive this way since you’re google and Facebook hours can no longer be trusted. Also, not sure if it was one of your employees, but whoever drives the humvee that goes into the gate next to your business pulled up fast looking like he was about to fight someone.. if the hours can become consistent or atleast correct in the future, it’ll go to 5 stars

My wife and I found this place by accident and picked up the Ultimate Potato with two meats. They were delicious. Several trips made and they were always great. We missed them a couple of times and afraid that they had gone out of business. This past week I went by and found them open again talked to the owner and was glad to hear they are still open.!!!

Always a favorite when it comes to barbecue and Sour Lake! Personally, I am not a fan of the brisket the day of; however, if you throw in the air fryer the next day, O.M.G!

We ordered to go. My husband got the 2 plate meat with brisket and sausage. The plates came with 2 sides. He got mac and cheese and beans. I got the 2 plate dinner with brisket, ham, beans and potato salad. We also ordered a half rack of ribs to try. This was more than enough food. We can still make 1-2 meals with the leftovers. The owner answered the phone and was super nice and helpful in assisting with my order. (This was our first time to try it out.) We go to bbq places all over the United States. I give this place 5 stars based on the ribs. The ribs were up there with some of the places we have been to. They had great flavor. I highly recommend getting the ribs. If you are a potato salad person, try their potato salad. It was pretty good as well.

My family and I were traveling from Waco to Baton Rouge as part of our cross country road trip and wanted to try some Texas BBQ. We were excited to see the sign for Big Ps that looked about as authentic as they come! Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted homemade. I ordered the brisket plate with beans and salad. My husband ordered a spicy brisket sandwich with potato salad and our daughter got chicken fingers and fries. You can't go wrong with anything everything was good!

Great, FAMILY, hole-in-the-wall barbecue restaurant in a small town where you would never expect this kind of extreme quality. Outstanding ribs!! Excellent potato salad. Great fried okra. This is the best restaurant in Sour Lake.
