Very bad costumer service. Leo wasn’t checking on us, had to keep asking him for refills and our food, took forever to get our food. I had a party of 9 and all the plates took a while to come out and even forgot one of them server never came to apologize. Instead ignored us until I came to the front counter to ask for a manager. But what can I ask from a team member if the manager had a bad attitude… all he had to say was “it was the kitchen fault but I’ll check on it I know it’s not an excuse but let me see” no apologies or anything. Just to finish the server LEO added an 18% gratuity for the terrible service that he provided for us today. Manager took it off when asked but I got no apologies for everything that went bad at our dine in experience. Coming to visit south padre island from San Antonio and have a really bad experience at this place ruined my whole visit today. Never would be coming back to this establishment ever. Overall poor food quality, service and management. Do better and train your crew a more efficient and right way but first management also need improvement with their costumer service. As manager your responsibility is that your restaurant it’s running smooth and if it doesn’t you do your best to fix it ! Not just blame it on someone else instead of taking full responsibility for a bad service.

This place was our second choice of the day to eat. The first place was closed for a family emergency. They are located inside a hotel so they are easy to find. We were sat immediately and the staff were all super nice. Our waitress was very attentive the whole time. The food was good and the chips were very fresh. The drinks were very good and delicious. I would go back.

On the Border Mexican Grill was a standout during our trip, easily coming in as our second favorite meal! ? It’s super convenient, located right next to where we stayed, which made it an easy and delicious choice. The service? Fantastic! Our server was on top of his game, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Honestly, I’m not sure why others have rated their service so low—our experience was nothing short of excellent.

If you love Mexican food, this spot is a must-try. I had the Gran Papi and it was absolutely dedeelish—flavorful, fresh, and filling! ? The rest of my group was just as impressed with their dishes, all agreeing the food was excellent. Don’t let any mixed reviews fool you, this place is worth checking out!

I only gave three stars for atmosphere because the construction was so loud while we ate.

Parking: Plenty of parking at the hotel.

Kid-friendliness: Great spot for the kids. They will love it.

This location isn't the ideal "Hacienda feel." It's inside of a hotel. The staff didn't provide the best service. I wasn't offered a menu for food. Also, the bartender didn't try to upsell with premium drinks or suggest food to go with the basic margaritas we ordered. The bar back was very unhelpful. The chips and salsa were right on point though.

Worst dine in experience of my life, came here to have dinner with family and service was the worst EVER…. Waiter for my food over an hour cause waiter forgot about it didn’t even got an apology for it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
