This is a great place to eat parking free giant parking area restaurant is so much bigger than I would of imagined very fast friendly service waiter/waitress are very personable asking if you are enjoying your time on the island letting you know what all is around where to go they really care about you as a customer service is A+++ can not serfs that enough food is hot fresh and gets out to you fast never have to ask for a drink refill they are on it never wonder where they are if you forget to ask for condiments they are right there ready to fulfill any and everything you could need great job on everything from the building to the hostess, waitress, and everyone in the back working hard cooking up that delicious food everyone is great

I honestly don’t even really know where to start with this review…
It looks nice(ish) from the outside but on the inside it’s an eclectic collection of random taxidermy fish and tiki decor
Our waitress was nice but when asked what she recommended, she didn’t really give us an answer and that should’ve been our second clue to find something else.
Our first clue should’ve been just opening the menu and seeing that there wasn’t a lot of items to choose from; which is normally a good thing but nothing sounded good
The third clue should’ve been the sweet tea which was not good and there was a weird aftertaste
As far as food… everything tasted like at one point if was frozen and they just “cooked” after pulling it from the freezer. There wasn’t really any flavor to anything and it was just disappointing
We would suggest maybe trying something else on the island but if you like flavorless tea with a side of frozen food… go for it
Overall, not impressed and feel like we got scammed after we spent $70 for bad food

We had lunch here with our family and the experience was very disappointing. The hostess was noticeably rude and made us feel unwelcome. Service was slow, and it was difficult to get basic attention such as drink refills. Based on our experience, we would not return and would recommend trying other restaurants in the area.

Fun atmosphere and yummy and quick food! Mozzarella sticks were life changing (I didn’t know there could be mozzarella sticks that different from others, but these were delicious!). We had a fairly large group, but they seated us quickly and had great service throughout.
Good mix of seafood, salads and sandwiches for a good price.

My parents and I swung by for dinner, and we had no wait even though the parking lot looked busy! We tried the Crab Cakes Dinner Plate and the Wednesday Special - Charbroiled Shrimps. The portions were very filling and we greatly enjoyed the food! The service was quick and helpful. We ended dinner with a slice of Key Lime Pie which was delish as well. If you don’t want seafood, they have burgers and steak as well! We will definitely be returning.

We LOVE Blackbeard’s!!! We are full time RV’ers and have had some shrimp that was NOT fresh … NOT AT BLACKBEARDS! They let us actually TRY one of their shrimp before we bought the platter FULL of the golden fried goodness. YUM …. and here’s the kicker, I am personally NOT a shrimp lover, but I will eat BOATLOADS of it here!!! Don’t miss this South Padre Gem of a restaurant … BLACKBEARD’S ❤️

This was the first place to eat at during our recent trip to South Padre and it was excellent. Food was more than i thought it would be quantity wise and tasted great. Wasnt able to get pictures but it was a good time all the same. Definitely enjoyed getting a overpour on my shots and would happily drink here again anytime im in the area. Service wasnt bad but wasnt stellar either, however it was very close to closing time so I won't ding them for that by any means. Will definitely be back for another round next time we are in the area, totally recommend trying at least once while in town!
