Cafe On The Beach

Great restaurant nestled at the end of The Palms Resort.
Large boiled shrimp entree was excellent and my main meal of fried fish & oysters was outstanding.
Robert, the bartender, made a superior margarita.
Parking was tight but well worth the trip.
Visted during our last evening on the island.
Next visit to island will find me heading to Cafe on the Beach before check-in at the condo.

I was pleasantly surprised, this was a great spot close to the beach! It’s not fancy, you’ll get plastic plates and cheap silverware, so if that deters you, then you’re missing out. The service was awesome, the view is incredible, the music was nice, drinks were good and the food was soooo good! My kids got to try crab cakes for the first time and they were delicious. The fish tacos were good, and I had the red snapper sandwich which tasted fresh and melted in my mouth. I would highly recommend this place if you want low-key atmosphere but great food.

HAPPY HOUR - MARGARITAS, pina coladas, cold beer, a few bucks off of most appetizers. Abel was our top-notch server who was very attentive.

The atmosphere is right on the beach atop a patio deck with picnic tables covered by umbrellas, or choose to sit at a long makeshift countertop with bar stools facing the ocean, and for those tired of the sun there is a covered open air area with regular restaurant tables.

The menu includes everything you would expect to find at a beach cafe from oysters Rockefeller, peel and eat shrimp, fried fish, craft hamburgers, fresh salads, and much more. Prices start about $6 and go up to $35 with the average about $17.

This is our 3rd year returning and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food and view!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly. The food was great. It was our honeymoon and the staff definitely checked in a few times, which we appreciate. We were running late on our check in day and they Called us to check in on us. We loved the room. They gave us the second best available room. They have chairs on the beach for rental. The pool is heated. We had the opportunity to sit at the bar with the owners. We would love to book again when we’re back!

Absolutely fabulous experience!! Had the grilled snapper sammie and a couple French 75's. Yummo!! Can't go wrong with this great restaurant with a stunning view of the ocean. The service was outstanding!! Can't wait to go back 👍

We arrived at the establishment prior to 1100 hours. The wait was for ever. Once we were sat down we were told they stopped serving breakfast. The waiter immediately told us we could leave and go to another place to eat breakfast. Very disappointed in the service. I do admit the food (breakfast) that people were eating when we got there did look delicious. Never going back there. First impressions are what keep people going back.

This year 2026 I had breakfast. The crab cake benedict. Very good as always. Millionaires coffee too.

2025 Had blackened snapper, hushpuppies and a millionaire coffee. Hushpuppies coulda used a little more jalepeno, but the food was fresh. The view and fresh air is good too. But remember you will see bees and crows because you are on a patio.
