I went here because I was told by more than five people this was the best place in Brownsville for good food and a drink. Went for my birthday and ordered the Wagyu Steak. Now I'm not certain how they prepared it in the back but it clearly was either not real wagyu or they didn't let it cure or something, it was terrible and really chewy, I was almost unable to finish the steak. The service was nothing special. Their presentation of the water pitchers with cut lemons could have been done better by an middle school student. Overall the food was nothing special the service was acceptable. The only special thing about it was the fact, that I brought my family somewhere I thought would live up to its high praise. Maybe the standards in the valley are just lower?

This is our go-to for a nice family dinner in South Padre. The food is always amazing - we usually order most of the appetizers - but the service is exceptional! Def try the cucumber martini!

We dined at F&B for my birthday dinner and we were so impressed with the waitstaff, food, and atmosphere. Our waiter, Steven, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, help us select the perfect dishes, and give us recommendations for our trip to SPI. Every dish we had was amazing. I highly recommend the filet mignon! I will definitely return to F&B next time we are in SPI and recommend my friends do as well. Thank you for helping make my birthday trip extra special!

Eventually we were on vacation in SPI and my family and I looked for a restaurant nearby to eat, the food was super delicious, but the red-haired waiter who served us was super mean, he seemed like he wasn't in a good mood, I don't remember his name but that put a damper on our meal. . I repeat; We came from the hotel and were looking for a good place. But the person who brought us the other entrees and meals was nicer. Elegant place, delicious wines and drinks.

Went here three days ago with my girlfriend. We were in town for spring break and had a hard time finding a place to eat. We eventually decided on F&B and had mixed feelings about it. Our server was very courteous and helpful, but it took an exceptionally long time to get our meal, get the check, and get pretty much everything else. I had the catch of the day (mahi mahi served on couscous) which was quite good. My girlfriend had a pasta special with shrimp that she enjoyed. The atmosphere was pleasant due in part to the design of the restaurant. When you are here it feels like you're inside of a fancy home. Overall, we had an okay experience. The food was good but the service was so slow it didn't really justify the price.

Saw all the great reviews regarding the great service and great food, and we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. But for us, it was only great food and so so service from our waiter. The food was delicious and was cooked great for our taste, and the bread was a great snack to enjoy during the wait. Our waiter didn't seem happy to be attending to us and lacked any emotion to make us feel welcomed. He only checked on us when I flagged him down, and he circled us 5 times and didn't acknowledge us even with not many tables being full. The gentlemen bringing out the food made us feel welcome more than our own waiter. Then to be told they don't have any dessert for anniversary because of no pastry chef broke my wife's heart and I called Liams Steakhouse minutes before closing and they were able to take us in and feel welcomed with a great Happy Anniversary Dessert.
